Whispers
Holiday Sidewinder Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Everytime the phone rings
Imagine that you're answering
Answering the questions
That everyone's been asking

Jacket hanging on the door
No one's wearing anymore
Remember who i bought it for
Back when i was 24

Even if they tell me that i'm never gonna see you again
Only gonna make me listen harder
For your voice in the wind
Ah ha hi

Down by the riverside
I hear something
Makes me believe youre alive
And then nothing

I can feel your fingerprints
On my body evidence
Ultraviolet on my lips
Treasure in a sinking ship

Even if i wanted to i couldnt be the same as before
Every minute longer i just want you back a little bit more

Ah ha hi
Down by the riverside
I hear something
Makes me believe you're alive
And then nothing

And nothings gonna bring you back to me
I'm asking for the river to set me free

Whispers whispers
Always by the rivers
Whispers whispers
Whispersof you
Whispers whispers
Always by the rivers
Whispers whispers
Whispers of you

Down by the riverside
I hear something
Makes me believe you're alive
And then nothing

Down by the waterline
I hear breathing
A supernatural sign
Am i dreaming
Am i dreaming?

It's a crime that more people don't listen to Holiday. I'm calling the cops.

@leland-bobpalmer4274

Wouldn't that spoil the party though? :p + Calling any police these days seems to end in disaster anyway... lol

I can't truly relate, I can fully empathize however. Enjoy the fact you had that feeling for someone. Trying to recreate it is futile. Better to have had loved.. the song is amazing!
