With Steve Ludwig and Brandon Wildish forming the band in July of 2005, the duo began writing songs and shaping what has today become Hope Departed. The duo was joined by guitarist Ryan Kruckenberg, and bassist Josh Valeo. Performing with various drummers at the time, the band began playing shows in and out of Orange County hoping to form a solid fan base. The band immediately developed a devout following. Hope Departed auditioned several drummers, to fianlly find the last piece of their puzzle, drummer Chris Nunez. The band then began recording their debut Ep “Ascendance” with producer Sergio Chavez at Maple Studios and NRG Recording Services in October of 2006. The Ep also features drums by the phenomenally talented Jarrod Alexander(A Static Lullaby & Death By Stereo).The band hopes to release their new record by early next year. Ludwig’s infectious melodies, along with Wildish’s vocal harmonies and rockin’ rhythms, lay the foundation that sets Hope Departed aside from all the rest. Their explosive stage presence and genuinely positive attitude just goes to show that you will definitely be seeing and hearing a lot more from Hope Departed.
