Shortly after the release of 'Screams' M Balmer left the band. Deke moved to bass, Tommy Horror switched to guitar, and new drummer Brent Bastard joined the band. This also led to a change in the band's sound, which became a little more straight ahead rock with slightly more complex arrangements and lead guitar. The culmination was the release of the band's second album, 'The Golden Age of Sin', in November of 2007.
Deke recently left the band, and new bass player Jimmie Dale Killmore and second guitarist Tommy Roulette were added to the lineup. The band continues to gig regularly in NE Ohio as well as playing the occasional out of state gig.
Black Wedding
Horror of 59 Lyrics

A dead angel saved
Can't let her beauty sit
Abandoned in a crypt
Death breeds a new romance
My stitched up fuck doll
My skin starts to crawl
With you forever
My undying bride
They won't keep us apart
No matter how hard they try
Remember now
Our black wedding vow
Macabre marriage bed
Make love with the dead
Her beauty still remains
With wax her flesh maintained
Exchanging glass for eyes
Just like the day she died
With you forever
My undying bride
They won't keep us apart
No matter how hard they try
Undying love beyond a lifetime
Undying love eternity
The lyrics of the song "Black Wedding" by Horror of 59 is about a man who is in love with a woman who has already passed away. He describes this woman as his "undying bride" and talks about how death has bred a new romance for him. He also mentions how her beauty still remains even though she is dead and how her flesh has been maintained with wax.
The man seems to be obsessed with this woman and is determined to keep their love alive beyond a lifetime. He talks about their black wedding vow and a macabre marriage bed where they make love with the dead. He also mentions how her eyes have been replaced with glass just like the day she died.
The lyrics of the song are quite dark and disturbing. They paint a picture of a man who is unable to let go of a dead woman and is determined to be with her forever. This song could be interpreted as a commentary on the unhealthy nature of some relationships and how our obsession with love can sometimes be more harmful than helpful.
