Shortly after the release of 'Screams' M Balmer left the band. Deke moved to bass, Tommy Horror switched to guitar, and new drummer Brent Bastard joined the band. This also led to a change in the band's sound, which became a little more straight ahead rock with slightly more complex arrangements and lead guitar. The culmination was the release of the band's second album, 'The Golden Age of Sin', in November of 2007.
Deke recently left the band, and new bass player Jimmie Dale Killmore and second guitarist Tommy Roulette were added to the lineup. The band continues to gig regularly in NE Ohio as well as playing the occasional out of state gig.
Frankenstein Returns
Horror of 59 Lyrics

Beauty enhanced by maggots
Ressurection filled with dread
I want her even more now that she's dead
Take her face the one I wanted
Monster
It's 3 a.m. the hour's haunted
Monster
I will make her live again
Monster
Make the dead scream with me
Flash of lightning sound of thunder
Wakened from her final slumber
Dead eyes no recognition
Tears my throat without emotion
Monster
Take her face the one I wanted
Monster
It's 3 a.m. the hour's haunted
Monster
I will make her live again
Monster
Make the dead scream with me
The lyrics of the song "Frankenstein Returns" by Horror of 59 depict the unquenchable desire of the singer to bring his loved one back to life, even if it means defying the laws of nature. In the first stanza, the singer is shown dreaming of his deceased love in her silk-lined casket, with maggots enhancing her beauty. The thought of her resurrection fills him with dread, but he still desires her more now that she is dead.
The chorus of the song, which is repeated throughout, features the singer addressed as "Monster" and his aspiration to bring back his love to life. He wants to take her face, the one he wanted, and make the dead scream with him. The second stanza illustrates the reanimation process, as a flash of lightning and the sound of thunder awaken the singer's love from her slumber. Despite being resurrected, she shows no recognition, which leads him to become distraught, and he is forced to scream without any emotions.
The lyrics are dark and unsettling, and they paint a picture of a man who is so obsessed with the idea of bringing his loved one back to life that he is willing to go to extreme lengths to make it happen, despite knowing that it is impossible. The song's theme is heavily influenced by the story of Frankenstein, a novel by Mary Shelley.
