I, I, I've been through some things,
Please don't hold that against me,
Can't nobody love you like I'm gonna love you?
Can't nobody love you like I'm gonna love you?
Even though I, I, still can feel a sting on me
No need a second guess me,
Can't nobody love you like I'm gonna love you?
See I, I, I don't mind you putting on a little good,
Friday is all right,
But why run from what's gonna hold you tight
Through any complications,
Maybe we can start tonight
If I saw that you
Don't care what your ex do
Ain't nobody love you like I'm gonna love you
Ain't no one gonna love you, like I'm gonna love you
Baby if you dare, don't dare
Send me straight the voice mail
Baby I'm gonna text you
Hope it ain't no issue
I just gotta let you
No one to love you like I'm gonna loved you
See I, I, I don't mind you putting on a little good,
Friday is all right,
But why run from what's gonna hold you tight
Through any complications
Maybe we can start tonight
Oh, oh, oh
On everything
Ain't no one, na, na,
Ain't no one, na, na,
Show you what I could
Somebody better told you
Baby, and things in every heart beat
Ain't no one, na, na,
Ain't no one, na, na,
Show you what I could!
But if you should go down that same road
You'd been before
You're, your pain for her, just yourself
But don't you know that you could just let it go
Don't you know
I've been doing some things,
Please don't throw that against me
Can't nobody love you like I'm gonna love you?
Can't nobody love you like I'm gonna love you?
Oh, oh, oh making you this promise,
Can't you know the
Ain't no one to love you like I'm gonna love you,
Ain't no one to love you like I'm gonna love you
Oh, oh, oh, oh
I put that on
Ain't no one, na, na
Ain't no one, na, na
Show you what I could
Somebody better told you
Oh, oh, oh, oh!
In every heart beat
Ain't no one, na, na
Ain't no one, na, na
Show you what I could
Somebody better told you
I've been doing some things
Please don't throw that against me
Can't nobody love you like I'm gonna love you
I've been doing some things
Please don't throw that against me
The lyrics of Hudson's song "Say You Gonna" describe a lover who has experienced past pain and is cautious to open up their heart to someone new. The singer of the song acknowledges their own flaws and past mistakes but assures their love interest that they will love them like no one else can. Despite the potential complications and the love interest's hesitation, the singer asks them to take a chance on them and start a new relationship. The repeated refrain of "Can't nobody love you like I'm gonna love you" emphasizes the singer's commitment to their love interest and their belief that their love is special.
The lyrics also touch on themes of trust and communication in relationships. The line "Baby if you dare don't dare send me straight to voicemail, baby I'm gonna text you, hope it ain't no issue" shows the singer's desire to be in constant communication with their love interest and their fear of being shut out. The line "But if you should go down that same road you've been before, your pain for her just yourself" suggests that the singer believes their love interest's past relationship was harmful to them and they shouldn't continue down that path.
Overall, the lyrics of "Say You Gonna" are about taking a chance on love despite past pain and trusting that someone can love you like no one else can.
