He has been walking in an endless rain like a poet who is trying to seek answers and hide his tears. However, he realizes this is just a continuous circle. He wants to turn the page and start reading the first chapter, where he believes he will find the answers he has been looking for. He knows the answer to the questions he is asking but is still trying to seek validation. He wonders if he is wrong for feeling hurt and pain, for being in the rain, for not wanting the night to end, and for crying.
He then identifies the silver lining in his pains and sees that when the mourning arrives, he will be in the next chapter of his life. He acknowledges that his heart is still wet, just like the rain that has been pouring endlessly. He asks himself why he is still questioning the answer he already knows. He sees different colours but recognizes that the silver lining is slowly taking over. He concludes that it's okay to sing 'The Last Song,' even though everything fades because he now realizes that forever is not permanent.
