There are those moments that we should comprehend
I'm talking precious moments, moments yeah
Appreciate the little things in life make it last, make it last
Those vows between a man and a woman
A love when it's real and you show it
Children with the smiles and the laughter
When the devil can't put nun past ya
Finding Jesus peace
Appreciate the little things in life make it last
If there's love in your heart it's a life full of class
We're always taught we should live for the moment
But I say we should apply a little focus
So we can listen closely for our purpose
So when it's clear without a doubt you'll know it
Understand that there's one that is coming
One that's coming
Appreciate the little things in life make it last
It's the karma in the world that completes the aftermath
There are those moments, there are these moments
Gotta make it last
There are those moments, there are these moments
Gotta make it last
There are those moments, there are these moments
We gotta make it last
Appreciate the little things in life make it last, make it last
I'm all on my grind one day at a time, I gotta
Enjoy life and these moments in time, I gotta
Not only hustle as we forfeit our prime
Cause at the blink of an eye it's gone
And the music is played
Like a seed, I'ma sprinkle the top
I keep it one-hundred with this reign
That I got, I'm coming
How come this nerd life spittin' a lot
Look at the arch of his shot
Go head salute in the spot
There's one life and it don't stop
Going all in to serve God
Any minute in this life can end and the roll's called
Coming from where I'm from, this third-coast culture
Flip-flop this hip-hop, enriched with this Codex
I'ma come down make it last for a minute
After all that everything is finished
Appreciate the little things in life make it last,
If there's love in your heart it's a life full of class
Caught in the hustle and it's so easy to forget
To tell the people we care taken for granted
We gotta get it right, no regrets in our lives
Appreciate the little things in life make it last
It's the karma in the world that completes the aftermath
There are those moments, there are these moments
Gotta make it last
There are those moments, there are these moments
Gotta make it last
There are those moments, there are these moments
We gotta make it last
Appreciate the little things in life make it last, make it last
The lyrics of I.D.'s song "Make It Last Forever" delve into the concept of appreciating the small moments in life amidst a world filled with negativity and distractions. The song emphasizes the importance of cherishing precious moments and understanding the significance of love, family, and faith in navigating through life's challenges. The artist reflects on the value of genuine connections and the joy found in the simplicity of everyday life, urging listeners to focus on the beauty of the present rather than getting caught up in the fast pace of modern society.
The reference to vows between a man and a woman highlights the enduring commitment and loyalty in a relationship, contrasting with the fleeting nature of many modern interactions. The lyrics also touch on the innocence and happiness found in children's smiles and laughter, symbolizing purity and positivity in a world often tainted by negativity. The song suggests that by staying true to one's purpose and finding inner peace, individuals can elevate their experiences and appreciate the blessings that surround them.
There is a call to action to live with intention and mindfulness, rather than simply existing in the moment without direction. By recognizing the significance of each moment and listening for one's purpose, one can achieve clarity and fulfillment. The artist alludes to the idea of a higher power or divine presence guiding one's path, reinforcing the notion of appreciating life's blessings and being grateful for every opportunity and experience.
In the final verses, the lyrics underscore the ephemeral nature of life and the importance of living authentically and making the most of every moment. The artist acknowledges the hustle and distractions that can cloud one's judgment and urges listeners to prioritize what truly matters. The song emphasizes the idea of leaving a lasting impact, whether through acts of kindness, love, or faith, and encourages individuals to live with no regrets, appreciating and savoring the little things that make life beautiful and meaningful.
