Is It True
IQ Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

It's painful, stressful,
in the beginning
but don't you worry,
it will go away
A long cold winter,
snow is falling
but don't you stay inside,
have a nice day
It's always tough,
so tough to take your first step
Everyone of us is the same
Always good,
so good to take your first step
Everyone of us is afraid
Here we go now
Gotta get some time to
think all about it
Light up your own fire,
your own fire,
Don't compromise, just
keep on trying
'cause that's the way it is

No one likes something
that is bitter
but don't you worry,
it will fade away
No one likes something
that is hotter
but don't you know
it will be okay
It's always tough,
so tough to take your first step
Everyone of us is the same
Always good,
so good to take your first step
Everyone of us is afraid
Gotta get sometime to
think all about it
Light up your own fire,
your own fire,
Don't compromise,just
keep on moving
'cause that's the way it is
Gotta get sometime to
think all about it
Light up your own fire,
your own fire,
Don't compromise,just
keep on moving
'cause that's the way it is
Way it is
Way it is
Way it is
Way it is
So you try Better try
Oh, you try Gotta try
That's the way it is
So you try Better try
Oh, you try Gotta try
That's the way it is
Gotta get sometime to
think all about it
Light up your own fire,
your own fire,
Don't compromise,just
keep on trying
'cause that's the way it is
Gotta get sometime to
think all about it
Light up your own fire,
your own fire,
Don't compromise,just
keep on moving
'cause that's the way it is
Way it is

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of "Is It True" by IQ capture the challenges and uncertainties we often face in life. The song begins by acknowledging that these challenges can be painful and stressful, particularly in the beginning. However, it reassures the listener not to worry because these difficulties will eventually fade away.

The mention of a long cold winter and falling snow symbolizes a tough and challenging period in one's life. The advice given is not to stay indoors and hide but to face the day and keep moving forward.

The song then emphasizes that it is always tough to take the first step in any endeavor. It highlights that everyone is the same in this regard - we all experience fear and hesitation when starting something new. The lyrics encourage listeners to embrace this challenge and take that first step, as it is ultimately a good and necessary experience for growth.

The chorus repeats the message of needing time to think and reflect on one's situation. It encourages the listener to ignite their own passion and drive, not to settle for compromises, and to keep trying in order to overcome obstacles. This mantra of perseverance is emphasized as "that's the way it is" - a reminder that life is full of challenges, but we must keep moving forward and stay determined.

The second verse reaffirms that nobody likes bitterness or things that are too hot, implying that discomfort and struggle are not pleasant experiences. However, the lyrics assure the listener that these challenges will eventually fade away or be resolved. Again, the focus is on taking that first step and acknowledging that fear is common to everyone.

The repetition of the chorus reinforces the message that we should not compromise on our dreams or goals, but instead, we should keep trying and moving forward. The lyrics remind us that this is the way life is - full of obstacles and challenges that we must face head-on.

In summary, "Is It True" by IQ is a song that encourages listeners to confront their fears, take that first step, and persist through challenges. It acknowledges the pain and difficulties we encounter in life but emphasizes that these trials will eventually fade away. The lyrics inspire listeners to think, ignite their own passion, and keep trying because that's just the way life is.

Hi! I'm here a gifted 13 year old sis, glad to help you! For a start, internet tests are not well made. I recommed a psychologist, the Mensa tests or Raven (the latter to get an idea.)
Also, some of the most common signs are:
-Feeling very different, being socially outcast or bullied.
-Preferring the company of adults or people older than you.
-Feeling most of what you learn at class is useless, and preferring your personal (and often very nerdy) interests.
- You're extraordinary at one or two subjects, but mediocre at the rest.

Many times teachers mistake giftedness with brilliance (Perfect grades). I hope this served to help you. Let me know if you want if you have any symptoms or doubts or anything, I'm glad to help :)

P. S. No one knows if Trump faked the test. Anyways, he's a genius when it comes to charisma (Why he won).

I wish school was more like this. If i was taught things with this much passion, detail and importance then I would’ve always paid attention

More like teachers and not schools themselves. I used to love physics until high school. Before i had a teacher that would explain things almost like telling a story and with a bunch of curiosity facts; that made want search more about the subject and consequently study more. When high school arrived, the teacher was so boring that I lost complete interest; probably the only reason I still had good grades was because of solid physics foundations from the previous teacher.

Teachers are people. That’s the sad truth. They don’t love what they do, and they don’t get paid much to do it. Especially effecting is this: there is no competition. There isn’t a surplus of teachers competing for the best, but in fact not enough

I agree yet at the same time I have a very charismatic college math professor and I'm still not understanding jack. But that's probably another issue haha.

Goodness of this thought varies as if u are talking about potential that is predetermined or something other

The first thing to do is to find its gradient

But the IQ test isn't about measuring one's potential.
