Even though this song is 3 years old, I have so much nostalgia for it. (Especially around 1:58 and from 2:46 on) The song/ album came out right around my last day of school of Freshman year, and I remember listening to it on that day and just thinking “wow this is a masterpiece”. This song has stuck with that moment in my life, and whenever I hear this song I think about good times with my friends and a kick off to a great summer. Great Job Imagine Dragons!

When this song came out, I was in a relationship and I dedicated this song to a girl. Whenever I hear this song I remember you with joy, but at the same time disappointed with me for not having the courage to live my first love without fear of assuming who I was.

Every time I hear a new song from imagine dragons I always get goose bumps, I couldn't imagine how hard it was for Dan when he was bullied in school when they said he was worthless, he can't achieve anything, they broke him down like he was nothing to them they discourage people like in the lyrics of thunder they say "Who did you think you are, dreaming bout' being a big star." And Dan still had the courage to follow his dreams. That's why every time they make a new song, I take a moment to take in how much he's been through and has still followed his dreams

I completely agree!! I like Sia for the same reason. I love artists who use their own struggles and wounds to create beauty out of it - I think that's true music imo, being able to transform something that would otherwise be ugly into something awesome. I fell in love with Imagine Dragons as soon as I heard their music. Bravo to him and his choosing music, even though it would have been risky for him.

My interpretation of each of the songs.

Believer: This song tastes like venom and almost vengeful. It's like taking a vacation to the dark side and enjoying every moment of it.
Whatever It Takes: It feels VERY angsty and raw. Like you know there's a lot of fault and regret flooding everywhere.
Thunder: This song is a nostalgic and whimsical flashback of good times. But that of course changes when you realize that the past in the past, and you have to confront your own demons now without someone holding your hand.
Walking The Wire: It's the feeling of confidence and striding through a battlefield and knowing that you'll make a difference in the world. You can smell gunpowder and victory as you keep moving forward.
