The band maintained a comfortable line-up during 2009 which had them head to the studio to record their debut EP, This Is Retaliation, that brought forth a whole new attention to the band. After almost a year of promoting the EP, In Dying Arms then were signed to Matchless Records, which is owned and operated by former Chelsea Grin guitarist, Chris Kilbourne. The band then began work on their debut full-length album, Deprevation, which was released in 2010 through the label. They then recorded and released their self-titled follow-up LP the following year. By the release of that record, the band reached their contract requirements for Matchless and our now free agents. By 2012 the band released a promotional single for a song titled "The Core of My Existence".
As of 2012, things haven't looked up better for In Dying Arms. They were signed to Artery Recordings and released their third full-length album Boundaries on September 25, 2012.

Towards the end of the song, the singer asks the other person when they will say enough and if they will ever be the same. The repetitive line "the same, the same" shows the singer's frustration at the situation. The song ends with the singer repeating the opening line.
Overall, the lyrics of "Famous Last Words" showcase a sense of vindictiveness and frustration towards someone who has let the singer down.

Extremely heavy song - and it has cleans. Cleans don't make heavy songs bad, if you fit them right.

yeah if you use them right, it could make a song seem much heavier and darker, like eerie. Or melodic. I really dig melodic parts in metal songs. A lot of the time they give me chills because i never expect it the first time i listen to a song. If that happens, then me likey.

It is definitely more polished than the original I heard years ago, my one and only gripe is the vocals. For my personal taste they could be tracked more forward and pronounced, they seem to either drown, or be battling with the instrumentation. Overall though, the song is great.
