2. Not only this Smooth Jazz band shares same band name, they have a song called "Millenium"(2006) that is exactly same title (intentionally misspelled) as the other Incognito's (Jazz Funk) song on their album "100° and Rising"(1995), plus the logo resembles in font. The title "Every Day"(2006) on the album Street Smarts exactly alike in titles (when read) with the other Incognito's famous tune "Everyday"(1995). They are often tagged totec radio. Also mis-tagged by fans as bluey where there's no link to Jean-Paul "Bluey" Maunick himself. r00ts & t4lk1n l0ud tags also used, that could mislead fans to the Bluey's famous tunes like "Roots" & "Talkin' Loud".

One Hundred And Rising
Incognito Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
On the streets runnin' wild
Barely ten, got a gun
So now he thinks that he's a man
Yes he does
Teenage girl out to steal
''cause her baby is in need of a meal
In the high sunshine, low on hope
Well, there it is summer in the city
Tryin' to make sense of a world gone crazy
[Chorus:]
(du do do do do du)
One hundred and risin'
(du do do do do du)
So the tale is told
(du do do do do du)
One hundred and risin'
(du do do do do du)
Old man sitting in the shade
Won't take part in the charade
He may be old, but he ain't a foo
L he has seen how dreams are bought and sold
On every corner, a steady stream
To buy a thrill, a piper's dream
While the heat takes its toll
It's just another day on a city street
You got to do the best you can to get by
In the high sunshine
[Chorus: x 3]
Summer madness will unfold
Tryin' to make sense of a world gone crazy
Repeat (fade)
The lyrics to Incognito's "One Hundred and Rising" explore the daily struggles faced by individuals living in a chaotic and challenging urban environment. The first verse sets the scene by describing a young child running wild in the streets, who thinks he's a man because he has a gun. Meanwhile, a teenage girl is forced to steal in order to feed her baby. The lyrics suggest that these individuals are simply trying to survive, but life has dealt them a difficult hand.
The chorus of "One Hundred and Rising" repeats the phrase "One hundred and rising," which may refer to the temperature rising during a hot summer day. The repetition of this phrase may also suggest that the struggles of those living in the city are constantly increasing and intensifying. The verses continue to describe the daily struggles of people on the city streets, from the old man who refuses to participate in the "charade" of life to the constant stream of individuals buying "a thrill" to make it through the day.
Overall, the lyrics to "One Hundred and Rising" paint a bleak but honest picture of life in the city. The song suggests that despite the struggles faced by those living on the street, they still have hope and are doing the best they can to get by.
