1) Infest is an American hardcore punk band, formed in 1986 by Joe Denunzio, Matt Domino, Dave Ring and Chris Clift. They are considered pioneers of the sound now known as "powerviolence." Social guidelines enforced on me
Classified labels you can keep
Part of the game
"The Game" by Infest is a song that talks about the oppressive nature of authorities and how they decide to lay down laws on people who are not ready to comply. The lyrics talk about the social guidelines enforced on people, and how they are classified with labels that don't define who they truly are. As the chorus suggests, those who don't follow these guidelines are considered mere sheep - just another person following the crowd, without any individuality.
Overall, "The Game" is a critique of the establishment and the system that tries to control and define individuals. The song talks about how these labels and laws do nothing but oppress people and take away their freedom to be truly free. Infest suggests that there is a need to break free from this system and create one's own rules, rather than blindly following what has been laid out.
