Intro
Infinite Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Hey y'all, if I'm being honest, this is the best song on the tape
I'd click off if I were you
It's all down hill from here
I think Brent's dropping today though
And you're out here listening to this?
Do better
Here's the tape though, good luck
Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiya

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to "Intro" by Infinite. are reflective of the artist's internal dialogue with himself and potentially with his listeners. The opening lines, "Hey y'all, if I'm being honest, this is the best song on the tape," suggest a lack of confidence or satisfaction with the other tracks on the album. This self-deprecating attitude continues as he urges listeners to "click off" and warns that "it's all downhill from here." The final line, "Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiya," is delivered with a sense of irony, as if acknowledging the ridiculousness of his own words.

However, the most intriguing aspect of these lyrics may be how they play with the idea of authenticity in music. By admitting that this is the best song on the tape and discouraging listeners from continuing to listen, Infinite. is essentially arguing that the other tracks are not worth their time. This creates a strange dynamic where the artist is simultaneously trying to convince listeners of the quality of his music while also warning them against wasting their time. Ultimately, the lyrics to "Intro" are a clever and self-aware commentary on the complexities of making and consuming art.

Not only was I shocked by what happened but I was even more shocked to see 343 or Microsoft didn't make this part of the marketing. I'm so glad they actually restrained themselves this time and just let us experience this for the first time. You don't need to HYPE up Halo. Us fans will be there anyway, haha.

Monkey D Luffy

I dont think it was the marketing that was at fault last time, they actually did a decent job. It's the writing, they tried to make halo 5 too many things at once. In intro to a new team with Locke, an introduction to blue team, and then they tried to make chief out to be the bad guy, then Cortana was a bad person. It's just too much, and we never really had a true bad guy. No one cared about Locke, we were too busy wanting to see chief and blue team, so anytime we saw Locke, it was like a spit in the face. Infinite has a clear cut story, well written, probably planned since halo wars 2, atriox and the banished were amazing.

Richie Thach

Seriously though, imagine having so much power that you can easily toy around with Chief like that and hurt him enough that he is barely resisting by the end

Mr. Scott

@Jack Cocker that's definitely true i think I halo war 2 they were stabbing him but it seemed like he felt nothing

Jack Cocker

Tbh atriox is actually feeling chiefs blows, thats never happened before as far as im aware

Dalton Allen

He’s just picking up a thousand pounds with one arm like it’s only a feather.

Mati costa

This is the best beginning in the halo's history

Dylano Revs

Damn, Atriox beat up 4 spartans in his screentime. One of them being master chief.
Move over, Tartarus

Robert Laidlaw

bet he's killed more than that, he seems unbeatable in a strait up fight. which is a good move by 343, cos it makes him seem scarier.

Benny Meraz

Hey at least Master Chief landed a couple of good hits that made him step back. Atriox was getting stabbed in HW2 and he was acting it was a mosquito trying to bit him through a winter jacket
