I remember faking I was asleep as a kid so I could wake up at 11 to watch inuyasha, My Will(the first ending song) still makes me so nostalgic I'll tear up, and I'm not the emotional type. It takes me back to a simpler time.

And then youd have Adult Swim suddenly put Big O in it's time slot, so we could watch the same 12 episodes of that piece-of-shit show. I'm being hyperbolic, it's okay, but when you waited up hours to watch inuyasha only to have them trade it out with some inferior show, holy hell would that piss off 11 year old me.

It may have been awhile but recently actually finished inyuasha for the first time. Never finished the series and it bothered me. It was my wife who pushed me to finish it. I remember sneaking back into the living room during the school week and turning the tv on to watch Inyuyasha when I should have been in bed. the living room was just 2 rooms from my parents's bedroom so the volume had to be low, and I had to keep my fangirling quite to keep them asleep. That Ferris wheel... I remember when I was little, my dad would wake me up at 5:00 so the bus could pick me up for school. Me and him would always watch Inuyasha until the bus picked me up. If I missed anything, he'd tell me about it when I got back home. I remember once, at the ending song, I said "That's a cool-looking Ferris wheel." And he said "Yeah, they have ones just like that in Japan." The memories, man.... growing up sucks so much...

Since everyone's sharing their story, here's mine:

I've seen snippets of Inuyasha before when I was younger on TV and I was not a serious anime fan back then, but during this COVID period I started getting interested with them and I decided to watch all the anime I used to see on TV and Inuyasha was one of them. Everything about it is so beautiful! The worldbuilding, the characters, everything! I especially love how the action is well balanced with the romance, not to mention the humor is so funny. I can already tell that this will definitely make me sad after I finish watching and there will be a moment in time where I will look back on this anime and think that I wish I could erase my memories so I can relive the feeling of awe the first time I watched Inuyasha.

Edit: InuKag is so sweet and I envy Kagome so much! I'm seriously developing a crush on Inuyasha my gallery is filled with fanarts of him hahaha

Good as place as any to say inuyasha was literally so important to my entire childhood... 5am still makes me think of inuyasha. I was about 6-7 when I started really getting into it and my love for it has been as strong as the shikon no tama ever since... seriously such an AMAZING piece of artistry

Feel the same.Reminds me of times of simplicity of middle school and into high school.The small group of "misfit" friends I rolled with. When I got suspended from school for fighting because a punk kept messing with me because I was a big anime fan and drew alot. Times to look back and smile knowing they where good times :)

I love the idea of that but no. I do not want it to end up like Naruto were it literally goes on until we're all dead. And at best if anything is going to happen because of the petition they will just make an anime series of it that will be a remake of the old one from 2000. And will be more based on the manga that is probably it.

My goodness, I will always return to this song once in a while. It is like an old friend who has never changed, and only you have grown and now see how different your life is now compared to the early years of childhood. I first watched Inuyasha 17 years ago on Friday nights at 10pm on YTV.

The lights would be turned off, volume a little lower than usual and my eyes glued to the tv. I remember watching the episode where Sesshomaru fights Inuyasha in their father's tomb to get Tessaiga. Thats when I knew I'd love this show.

Even as a child, watching the ending credits of and seeing Kagome in the ferries wheel and on the train made me feel so empty. It was so sad seeing her living a mundane life when she had an exciting second life. Hahaha made me go to bed dreaming about being transported to fuedal japan and fighting alongside the team against demons and Naraku.

Interesting fact; the ending credits that feature this song show a brief scene of Kikyo snapping several beautiful red flowers in half as she walks. Those flowers are known as 彼岸花 "Higanbana", red spider lilies, and their meanings include abandonment, lost memory, and "never to meet again" in the Japanese language of flowers.

When I was a junior in high school they JUST brought back Toonami on Cartoon Network and one day I ended up catching the flu and it was MISERABLE. It was to the point I had to take medicine just to get any sleep at all. Well for some reason the medicine didn't quite work right because I ended up waking up early and I got to catch the tale end of Inuyasha and watch the ending. This song and that wonderful Ferris wheel they had at the end was the last thing I saw before the medicine drifted me back to sleep again. It was a miserable time but that's a precious memory I'll keep forever.

My GMA passed feb.1 and since I was born(1991) she was always into anime and a big reason why I love it ever since she been gone it’s been stale to watch any series even old ones. This was one of our favorites growing up setting it to record on vhs when adult swim was on because I was to young and had school lol…she West Indian so she would always call it I inuwasha and I would always get mad and correct her…this shot brought all that back and I’m just really not sad tearing up I’m just happy we had these times frfr thank you for giving this to me I was so close to giving up frfr just thank you

Since I was 12 and Adult Swim started, Inuyasha has always been a favorite of mine. The perfect blend of action, magic, romance and heart.

Miroku getting slapped will always be my favorite running gag. It taught a valuable lesson; NEVER do what he did. Though it always showed you can be loved despite shameful faults.

Whenever i look at a ferris wheel, the feeling gets to me and a small sad + happy + nostalgia smile shows up. It is the same whenever i see any red flower that looks like in the ed. Not to mention the feeling when Kikyo puts her foots into the water and slightly backforwaded. I always try to copy her gentle moves b4 as a child alot.
