Over things you said to me, I couldn't even sleep
You forgot your promises every single vow
All you did was laugh at me but things are different now
I cried for you
Now it's your turn to cry over me
Every road has a turning
I cried for you
What a fool I used to be
Now I found two eyes just a little bit bluer
I found a heart just a little bit truer
I cried for you
Now it's your turn to cry over me
How can I forget the hours that I worried through
Wondering the live-long day just what next thing to do
In those days you never thought anything of me
But the slave that was all yours and now at last is free
I cried for you
Now it's your turn to cry over me
Every road has a turning
That's one thing you're learning
I cried for you
What a fool I used to be
Now I found two eyes just a little bit bluer
I found a heart just a little bit truer
I cried for you
Now it's your turn to cry over me
The lyrics of Irene Kral's song "Just For Now" tell the story of a woman who used to cry over a man who repeatedly broke his promises and made her feel unworthy. She would lose sleep over the things he said to her, but now she has found a way to move on from the pain he caused. The woman reflects on how she used to be a fool for him and how he took advantage of her. However, now she has found someone who treats her better and makes her feel loved. The woman sees that everything happens for a reason and that every road has a turning point. The tables have turned, and now it's his turn to cry for her.
Overall, the lyrics demonstrate how the woman has grown and found her self-worth. She once thought that the man was everything to her, but now she realizes that she deserves better. Her journey highlights the importance of self-love and finding people who will treat you right.
