The Rage
Iron Savior Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

From a fireball we came crossed sea and mountain
We were drinking beauty with our eyes
We were given all to make our own let us be left alone
Laid the tasks and paid the price, everything survives
Crushed and bolted all the great
After every win, what a stake we're in
It's paying better than the grave
When we talk without amend, we see red, and then
Deep inside the blood begins to boil

Like a tiger in the cage
We begin to shake with rage

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Iron Savior's song "The Rage" are an expression of the intense emotions that arise from a life of struggle and hardship. The first verse talks about how the singer and their companions had to overcome many obstacles to get where they are, and how they were awed by the beauty of the world they discovered. But despite their successes, they are still not content. The chorus talks about how they are always in some kind of dangerous situation, and how they are often driven to anger and violence as a result. The metaphor of the tiger in the cage suggests that these intense emotions are a natural consequence of the difficult life the singer has led.

The second verse talks about how their successes have come with a high cost, and how each victory only leads to more challenges. The line "what a stake we're in" suggests that they are playing a high-stakes game, one that could easily end in failure or death. But even as they face these challenges, they remain committed to their goals, and continue to fight for what they believe in. The final lines of the chorus suggest that this fight has taken its toll on them, and that they are driven to the brink of madness by their struggles.

Overall, "The Rage" is a powerful expression of the emotions that can arise from a life of adversity. It shows that even the strongest and most successful people are not immune to the pressures of life, and that sometimes the only way to cope is to embrace your anger and use it to fuel your drive and determination.

Thank the metal god. This is one of the better covers of The Rage on you tube. Better than putting a shiity twist on it like these other bands. Liked this post. LONG LIVE JUDAS PRIEST

I really don't like listening to Judas Priest covers. Sometimes bands can match the general notes, but rarely the sound & vibe of Glen, KK, Ian & drummers. Even fewer bands, almost none, have singers who can sing in their own style but in the same method as Rob Halford.

But that wasn't the case at all with this band.

I really dig this version, one of my fav covers for Priest & very well done. I'm extremely impressed. 👍🏻

Generally you are right. However, some talented pupils of Metal Gods manage to cover them decently. For example - Gamma Ray's Victim of Changes and Exciter.

Judas Priest has the significant talent of writing superb songs. If the musicians have the talent and skill it isn't hard to play good cover.

TheLordBaggio

and this means it's good or not?
