When Joshua moved to Chicago in 1994, Iz and Diz began making music together, recording their first track at the legendary KMS studios in Detroit for the Prescription Records offshoot Balance. Now out of print, this was to be a first in a series of well received singles for a variety of respected labels including Silver Network, Classic, Seasons, Tweekin', and Aesoteric.
Their first single for Classic, "Wiggle While We Work" featured the seminal track "Mouth" which was comprised entirely of vocal snippets from the dynamic duo. A remix EP of "Mouth" (also on Classic) presented new interpretations by Pepe Bradock and Greenskeepers and brought international recognition to Iz and Diz's production. The track was featured on Radio 1 in London and licensed by worldwide heavyweights such as Giles Peterson among many others.
Not limiting themselves to peak time house cuts, the team produces a wide range of music for a myriad of times and places. From chilled-out midtempo cuts, to driving disco tinged floor fillers, Iz and Diz have garnered respect from dj's around the world, with support from Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, Kenny Hawkes, Luke Solomon, DJ Heather, JT Donaldson, Lance Desardi, DJ Sneak and many more.
While Iz and Diz each have their own successful dj careers, they immensely enjoy playing together, and this is evident to anyone who has seen them spin. You can check out Iz and Diz at their quarterly residency at Fabric (London) and at various other locales around the globe.

Well you ain't the only one that know a lil something
Well fuck it I'm right there witcha
You can't forget I was going D1
Competition is in my bloodline
Before I let you win I'd die
And I don't plan on dying tonight
And I might be on two before I'm done
I'm in this hole now witcha
Everything has gone cold
You bout to make me hit ya
I don't even know myself in this moment
I'm trying to see the bigger picture
But I can't when you always in front of me
I'm tired of arguing with ya
These bad vibrations are draining me
I gave it my best
Now we're in duress
I'm past the stress
I'm on to what's next
I'm lost at sea
Without a vest
You thought I can't swim
But Philippians 4:13 bitch
I'm on them mind games witcha
And a thousand miles ain't no real distance
I'll have this plane come get ya
I might be the pettiest nigga in existence
You know exactly what you're doing
But don't look crazy when I do it too
If there's a point here then I'll prove it
This is not a fight I'ma lose
The lyrics to Iz & Diz's song "Happy" speak about a complicated relationship where both parties engage in mind games. The singer acknowledges that the other person is not the only one who knows how to play these games and expresses willingness to partake in them as well. The lyrics imply that the singer is a formidable adversary, as they mention being a D1 athlete, indicating their competitiveness and determination to win. They assert that competition runs in their bloodline, and they'd rather die than let the other person win. The singer's intensity and focus are emphasized as they declare their readiness to take on any challenge and their unwillingness to lose, even going as far as saying "buckle the fuck up cuz I'm on one, and I might be on two before I'm done."
The second verse delves deeper into the turmoil of the relationship, depicting a feeling of being trapped or stuck in a hole together. Everything feels cold, and the singer is on the verge of losing control and hitting the other person. They admit to being lost and unable to see the bigger picture when the other person is constantly in front of them. The constant arguing and negative energy drain the singer, highlighting the toxic nature of the relationship.
Despite their best efforts, the singer feels that they are now under duress, with stress weighing on them heavily. However, they refuse to dwell on it and are determined to move on to what comes next. They feel like they are floating aimlessly in unfamiliar waters, without any security or protection, but they challenge the other person's perception by referencing a Bible verse - Philippians 4:13. The use of this verse suggests that the singer finds strength and resilience within themselves, asserting that they can overcome any obstacles thrown at them.
In the final lines, the singer addresses the mind games once again, implying that both parties are aware of the manipulative tactics used. They caution the other person not to act surprised or crazy when the singer responds in kind. The lyrics emphasize that the singer does not consider this a fight they will lose, further highlighting their determination and unwillingness to back down.
