Bizu has described herself as a fan of jazz-fusion mixes and a lover of squat parties and warehouse raves. She grew up listening to Ella Fitzgerald, Bettye Swann and James Brown[9] and draws on these influences alongside newer influences such as Amy Winehouse and Adele to create a fusion of soul, funk, jazz and pop.[22] She lists The Black Keys, Diana Ross, Grammatics and Sam Cooke among her other influences.[23]
This Is What We Wanted

There′s no need to think whenever I'm with you
It′s the only time I love
And I got detached, we know how to react
Whenever things go away, we just
Snap back with elastic bands
You came in with plastic bags
We got one-on-one dynamics
This is what we wanted
I can get behind this
We take each other hostage, ah ah
Steal some liquor, did ya figure?
This is what we wanted
Want no one else to have this
Underneath the blankets, your eyes
All day flicker, weeping glitter, glitter
Always getting cold feet, you wanna warm them on me
I find the apple of your eye, wanna magnify
All the things that I'd rather see
Hovering like a drone, spent so many years finding a clone
Am I just the one to stay? Oh, I look away
Maybe only one of us is grown
This is what we wanted
I can get behind this
We take each other hostage, ah ah
Steal some liquor, did ya figure?
This is what we wanted
Want no one else to have this
Underneath the blankets, you still make me shiver
Just snap back like elastic bands
You came in with your plastic bags
We got one-on-one dynamics
You never like those plastic smiles
Snap back like elastic bands
You came in with your plastic bags
We got one-on-one dynamics
You never like those plastic smiles
This is what we wanted
I can get behind this
We take each other hostage, ah ah
Steal some liquor, did ya figure?
This is what we wanted
Want no one else to have this
Underneath the blankets, your eyes
All day flicker, weeping glitter
