The story of J-Diggs is so deep that numerous media executives are trying to buy the rights to his life story. Growing up with both parents in his household, Jamal somehow eluded his promising future when his maturity took over his youth. Growing up in the mean streets of the Country Club Crest neighborhood in Vallejo California, he soon found out that his roots and culture ran much deeper than he could ever imagine.
Growing up listening to the likes of Grandmaster Flash and the Furious 5 and later Run DMC, LL Cool J, & Too Short he knew hip hop was where his heart was. After starting rap groups and winning talent shows while appearing on local TV stations around the San Francisco Bay Area J-Diggs was set to make his place in hip hop history.
At the youthful age of 19 Jamal along with 2 friends (Mac Dre & Kilo Curt) were arrested in Fresno, California for a conspiracy to rob a bank. Due to his involvement in the crime J-Diggs received a stiff penalty of 10 years while Mac Dre & Kilo Curt received 5 & 8 years respectively.
While incarcerated J-Diggs started his time off in a Federal Prison in Southern California called Terminal Island. He gained much respect and notoriety in the prison as a Warrior and even more so as a rapper. In 1995 Diggs was shipped out for his leadership role in a violent prison riot that left convicts and prison officials injured. During his "Diesel Therapy" (solitary confinement & surprise prison switches from authorities) Diggs kept everything in stride while bouncing back and forth around the United States to Federal facilities like Louisburg PA, Lompoc Ca, Raybrook NY, El Reno Oklahoma, Fairington New Jersey, Allenwood, Mckean & Schuylkill Pennsylvania.
After their incarceration the trio set out to do the unfinished business of creating one of the worlds most powerful and respected independent record labels; Thizz Entertainment. While returning home Diggs has appeared on numerous TV shows and DVDs such as BETs Oh Drama, Rickey Lake, and recently in 2009 on BETs highly rated TV series American Gangsters "Romper Room Gang". He has also appeared on DVDs such as Hood to Hood, Exhibition of Speed 23109, Too Real for TV #3, Treal TV 1 & 2, Ghostride the Whip, and a list of others.
Due to Mac Dre's untimely demise, Kilo Curt & J-Diggs was forced to step up their game plan. They created a logo of Mac Dre and put together a company named Thizz Nation.
Many people know J-Diggs and many people do not. One thing for sure is that he has the skills to take this rap game to a whole different level. So if you havent heard of him, you might want to in his own words; "Ask About Me"...

hmmmm okay
It's not a mystery the life I have
It's been all on the news I can't hide my past
I done been in some trouble, committed some crimes
Been sentenced to prison had to finish my time
I'm just a man with a hell of a past
I used to love her she was all in my world
?????? i used to call her my girl
Used to do the boyfriend, not nothing new to me
Told her we would marry if she just stayed true to me
Showed her everything that life can vision
& lost her on a cold lonely night in prison
She used to promise She would hold me down
Now I'm searching for a new love to hold me now
& she got to be loyal. loyal & all
& her main goal in life is to spoil Jamal
Chorus
Would you be there by my side when times get hard?
Promise to hold me while my back against the wall?
I promise you, I promise you, I promise you I'll always be true
Would you be there by my side when these streets get cold?
When im lonely inside & theres no one to hold?
I promise you, I promise you, I promise you I'll always be true boy
She made a promise that she could not keep
&Now she lives her life and it's without me
I found that every bird ain't as fly as the other
& every women ain't as fly as my mother
So now I just stick & move
See im a shining star now, I can pick & choose
I've been used, I don't like the feeling
& it left me with a certain dislike for women
Had me feeling like women was nothing
I love 'em but damn man I just can't trust 'em
I never said I was gon' be perfect,
but I promise on my momma that it's gon' be worth it
So Im'a keep searching 'til i find miss got it good
The girl go and she know what she got is good
I learned a lesson & I made it a blessing
So when I meet her Im'a ask her some questions
If my life was'nt fly as it is
If I had to hit the streets would you ride for Diggs?
If it was'nt for this rappin' I'd probably be jackin'
Could you promise to stay solid if that was the happen?
I know you gettin' money & you promise to spoil me
If I ever go to jail can you promise me loyalty?
Now remember I done heard it before,
so all them ficticious promises dont work no mo'
I need a women who gon' stand for something
who understand we made a plan without her man its nothing
Safe against us our money is shot???
& The mission was to get it,
is you wit' it or not?
[im wit it] Off tops I knew the answer to that
But if I say Diggs or die you got a answer for that?
[Diggs] See, now that's why I'm feeling you
Enough of the small talk back to the interview
