J.A.Z. (Justified and Zealous) Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

And I know
That we all that we got
We still the same niggas from that one block yeah
And I know
That we always keep it cool
And We always keep a tool for those with loose screws
I know
Go big never small
If you ain’t gone do it right then don’t do it at all
Shidd I know
Yea this drink got me faded
Might be the drink talking but niggas is overrated
I know
Tranna be head hancho
Yea we gotta go get it
Can nothing prevent it
Got tired of keep my mouth closed
Moms tried to keep me from outdoors
Pull up wearing a poncho
Flashing that cheese for the rent
Knowing that money is nachos
Awe man
They really want attention
I just don’t get it
Where did that get you
Don’t get me wrong
I’ll still shit on niggas yea
Gotta be made men
Came from them basement
Its amazing
Came a long way from dealing and break ins
And I know
That we all that we got
We still the same niggas from that one block yeah
And I know
That we always keep it cool
And We always keep a tool for those with loose screws
I know
Go big never small
If you ain’t gone do it right then don’t do it at all
Shidd I know
Yea this drink got me faded
Might be the drink talking but niggas is overrated
I know
Say prayer before I sleep
Praise the lord my soul to keep
But that’s if I don’t wake
Cause I got hell to raise
Yeye
Now I’m mixing toxins
Brown all gone white only option
Plenty problems like I stock em
Her door open I been knocking
Riding through the city
The ones I’m talking to
I hope they don’t ever resent me
I know yo passion empty
Hand shakes I feel the envy
We a lot of something you not
Can’t waste the time looking at clocks
And I know
That we all that we got
We still the same niggas from that one block yeah
And I know
That we always keep it cool
And We always keep a tool for those with loose screws
I know
Go big never small
If you ain’t gone do it right then don’t do it at all
Shidd I know
Yea this drink got me faded

How could you leave me?
I thought that you needed me!
When the world got too much and you pleaded with me--
Who helped you immediately?
How speedy of me!
How could you deny me so vehemently?
Now your body is shakin' trying to free it of me
And your soul is in control, trying to lead it from me
And your heart no longer pledge allegiance to me
Damn, I'm missing the days when you needed the D

I'm 28 yrs old and I sometimes forget that there is a generation gap, I remember a Jay-Z that was a lot more lyrical, unfortunately this generation remembers a Jay-Z more established and settled. Jay-Z to me was an underground artist that achieve mainstream success, any kid that thinks Jay-Z is not lyricist here is a list of songs:
1. 22 twos
2. D'evils
3.Meet the Parents
4. Heart of the City
5.Pray
6. Big L freestyle
7.Threats
8. Fallin
9. Streets is Watching
There are plenty more songs these were songs that I personally liked that showed his array of double entradres, clever puns, similes and metaphors
