Remember the song that sang when you pulled the plug
I lost my mind
I lost my mind
I try to find it
I try to find it
I feel free of pain of something I felt nothing at all
Come in as gives me a bit of sweet
Feeling ain't put me try to put together
Ooh but I lost my mind
I lost my mind
I try to find it
I try to find it
But it still feel tender
Makes me feel hollow
Say I be okay
But i really don't know
I know when the song is ready
I gotta be ready
Cause too many people would ask me why
I allow the devil to took away my heylo
And I have to declare
Oh Lord have mercy
I lost my mind
I lost my mind
I try to find it
I try to find it
But real still tender
Makes me feel hollow
Say I be okay
But I really don't know
But still tender
Makes me feel hollow
Say I be okay
Say I be okay
Say I be okay
I really don't know

Remember the song which sang when you pulled the plug
The lyrics of J.D. Allen's "I Almost Lost my Mind" tell a story of someone who lost their mind one Sunday morning at 2:30-3 o'clock, possibly due to some sort of traumatic event. The repeated line "I lost my mind" emphasizes the confusion and desperation that the singer is feeling, and their attempts to find their mind again. The reference to a song being played when someone pulled the plug suggests that the traumatic event may have involved a loss of electricity, possibly leading to a power outage or a medical emergency.
The singer's state of mind is further explored through the lyrics. They mention feeling "free of pain" and "nothing at all," which may suggest that they have dissociated from their emotions as a coping mechanism. They also mention feeling "tender" and "hollow," indicating a sense of vulnerability and emptiness. The repeated line "Say I be okay, but I really don't know" highlights the singer's uncertainty about their ability to recover and return to a stable state of mind.
Overall, the song creates a sense of disorientation and uncertainty, while also exploring themes of trauma, resilience, and the power of music to heal.
