But it got worse couldn't tolerate it no more
See her become a zombie & stranger from who she once was
Told her it's that or me I'm just helping cause of my love
Quit cold turkey became herself within months
Thought everything was good then arrived to that day and grew numb
Lived in a nightmare after seeing you unresponsive
Called the medics perform CPR said I know that you got this lord
It was the longest week of my life
How I'm gonna continue going without you by my side
Praying down on my knees that you get to have your redemption
God willing you made it through I'm proud to see your progression
The devil disguises himself as an angel in the flesh
You're stronger than temptation God's handling all the rest
By the grace of God you survived forgave you for every mistake you made

On the day to day I’m tryna make a living wage
On a daily basis, I am striving to make enough money to support myself

Hearing all the whining y’all sounding like crushed grapes
I hear others complaining, making them sound like sour grapes

My lemons and sugar cane In a sense these incense are in cents
I incorporate my own ingredients into my craft, which may be seen as frivolous by others

I needed a change Something to get me a bit excited
I recognized the need for change and excitement in my life

Cuz now I’m pushing the effort to let them know I’m ignited
Now, I am putting in effort to show others my excitement and motivation

The flame doesn’t flicker it gets bigger as i fuel it
My motivation only grows stronger as I put more effort into it

I speak honestly and truthfully, not holding back any punches

My platform will be used for the culture
I will use my platform to represent and advocate for the culture I believe in

Big plate all kosher, the remains for the vultures
I take what is rightfully mine, leaving the scraps for those who do not deserve it

Know I’m getting closer to everything I imagined
I am making progress in achieving the things I have visualized for myself

Focus on my focus I can make it all happen
By staying focused, I can achieve all of my goals

They goin talk give them shit they can discuss
Others will talk and create drama, but it is irrelevant to my journey

When its cold I just keep my dogs closer on the mush
When times are tough, I rely on those closest to me for support

On the hush see this touch you can trust aint a crutch
I do what I need to do quietly and confidently, not depending on anyone else

Shit is lush never rush, in the dust I can leave but they always say
I take my time and enjoy the fruits of my labor, even though others may still doubt me

And they say don’t go chasing these waterfalls but what of these pavements
Others advise against taking risks, but what about the opportunities that present themselves?

It got me anxious I’m racing
It is nerve-wracking, but I am still pursuing my goals

I practice patience I pace it
Despite the anxiety, I am patient and take things one step at a time
