J.G. Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Let's roll
(With love)
(With trust)
(With respect)
Hate'll paralyze your mind
Gotta see the other side
It costs ya nothin' to be kind
Not so different you and I
Lookin' for love in a different light
Until we find that equal sign
Same
Same
Same
Same
Just a piece to give strength
In the puzzle of our hearts
It'll all make sense one day
So I'm singing for love in this world
Ayy, come on
Let's come together
Oh, umm-umm
Equality is you and me
The lyrics to J.G.'s song "Signs" talk about the importance of unity and equality among people. The opening lines "우린 서로 갖춰 시선들을 맞춰 사람 위에 사람 없고 사람 밑에 사람 없어" convey the idea of leveling the playing field and treating each other with equal respect. The song encourages everyone to come together, roll with love, trust, and respect, and take steps towards a better world, emphasizing the need for attention and care in our society.
The lyrics highlight the need for change and awareness, stating that change is necessary and it is our responsibility to bring about that change. The lines "나이를 넘어 uh 성별을 넘어 uh 국경을 넘어 uh 어쩌면 모두의 숙제 같은 것" suggest that beyond age, gender, and nationality, we all have a common mission to challenge discrimination and recognize that differences are not crimes but rather just differences. The song encourages individuals to break free from prejudice and discrimination and understand that we are all equal, deserving of respect and love.
"Signs" promotes the idea that hate only brings paralysis to the mind and instead encourages listeners to see the other side, be kind, and recognize the similarities between each other. It emphasizes that we are all seeking love and happiness, and until we find that equality between us, we should continue to fight for it.
