Mantra
J.W. Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I fall and I get up
I slip and I keep walking
I heal my wounds with the wisdom I've been thought
The essence is to believe and affirm
that we have the power
that we have the power
To be alive in body, Soul and mind
Forever resilient
Forever resilient
Forever resilient
Forever resilient
In the name of faith and survival
In the name of faith and survival
In the name of faith and survival!
Cause the bad is blown away by the wind
And the good stays
Because the bad is carried away by the wind and then the good stays
Faith protect us when we are sure of ourselves
We are not afraid from the storm of pain, of misery
When our soul is willing
Let's burn the darkening cold past!
When I close my eyes, I see the light coming back
When I close my eyes, I see the light coming
Back
I feel myself levitating freedom
We are the emblem of the new empire
We are the emblem of the new empire
We are the emblem of the new empire

The bad is blown away by the wind
Across the wind!

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of J.W.'s song "Mantra" speak to the theme of resilience and the power of belief. The singer acknowledges their moments of falling and slipping, but they continue to walk forward, healing their wounds with the wisdom they've gained. The essence of the song is to believe and affirm that we have the power to be alive in body, soul, and mind. The repetition of "forever resilient" emphasizes this belief in one's ability to overcome adversity.

The lyrics also highlight the importance of faith and survival. The singer declares that the bad is blown away by the wind, while the good remains. This suggests that faith acts as a protector, giving strength and fearlessness in the face of pain and misery. The line "let's burn the darkening cold past" reflects a desire to leave behind negative experiences and embrace a brighter future.

The imagery of light is prevalent throughout the song. Closing one's eyes and seeing the light coming back signifies a renewal of hope and positivity. The lyrics evoke a sense of levitation and freedom, indicating a liberation from past struggles. The repetition of "we are the emblem of the new empire" further reinforces this idea of overcoming obstacles and representing a new, resilient generation.

@Rupunzelsawake

This guy is absolutely clueless but accuses you of having received misinformation. How would he know because he knows nothing! It always astounds me how little JWs know about their own "beliefs".

@mattmurdock2868

Or anything regarding spiritual matters, or the Word of God....

@Acrobat888

Wow, they are so robotic and it's getting worse. Great sound on this by the way, the best yet I think!

@TechyBen

Wow Bridget. I don't know if I should feel sad for the guy. He is so confused. Does he know it's lies, but is protecting himself and his family? Or is he truly that indoctrinated?
I was in. But as soon as I say the broadcasts contradicting themselves (sometimes in the SAME video), I started researching to see if it was mistakes or errors, lies or coverups. Well, I'm glad I did!

@jesusmatters4222

Its gotten to the point our politicians cant tell you what a woman is - why would we be so surprised here? A cult is a cult, be it political or religious. This poor guy was fumbling around like he got a Tyson uppercut.....pray for him! He was put in a corner, heard you loud and clear, and remained kind so for that i give him props. Just hope he thinks about it
