Born in Loudon, Tennessee, Jason Isaac Moore has always called the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul home and is proud to say that he is a reflection of his fan base in Minnesota. The compassion for his home state has always been in his heart-- even when they weren't feeling him. At 15, he started a vocal group and covered Hi Fives Just Cant Handle It, a reproduction so effortless that the buzz in the streets had many questioning if the recording was truly a copy.
Shortly after disbanding the acapella troupe, J. Isaac spent time in the studio focused on his own music, where a Sony Music Publishing and A&M Recording deal were immediately penned after a friend in a studio where he was recording submitted his material. Recording with Ali from A Tribe Called Quest, Raphael Saddiq and Slum Village, the project, due to record company consolidation, was never released. J. Isaac was not deterred. Not failing to learn a few lessons in this business of music, enter Paul Jones and a deal with 306 Entertainment.
Welcome To The Planet was largely written and produced by J. Isaac and he considers this project to be somewhat of a conceptual album, but also having deeper, more personal roots about the human experience. The album was intended to be a gift to my children, a glimpse of everything that happens in life from the cradle to the grave. And he hopes that listeners can identify with the many emotional facets of the album and get a feeling for who he really is.
The lead off single from Welcome To the Planet is the infectious How I Roll featuring Juelz Santana and is J. Isaacs take on a man who is ready for marriage. A woman who is real about what marriage is truly about. A union thats not afflicted with games or tricks. Someone a man can roll with for the rest of his life.
Currently, J. Isaac is gaining airplay and receiving rave reviews for his reunion with Slum Village on EZ UP, and in the studio working on projects with Barak Records neo soul crooner Dwele and wunderkind Bilal Oliver of Mayo Music.

Ohh, it's Raydy baby
Intuitions in my mind
I been feeling out of time
They been talking out of line, oh
I cannot deal with their lies, no oh
I miss how it used to be
Everything is changing
I been pain feeling pain, every single day
I think I need a time machine
To stop my heart from hurting
I think I need a time machine
To make imperfect perfect
I'll go to the future and make sure it's all worth it
I think I need a time machine
To help me find my purpose
Sipping trizzy I been leaning
I been barely sleeping
Thinking bout this lifestyle
I know that I don't need it oh
Thinking bout my future like it's really meant for me
Living like a fairy tale I'm chasing after dreams
Lost my bro and I can't sleep at night
Go back to the past and I promise I'm gon make it right
Save your soul from securus and sending kites
Love your soul it's gon be alright
I think I need a time machine
To stop my heart from hurting
I think I need a time machine
To make imperfect perfect
I'll go to the future and make sure it's all worth it
I think I need a time machine
To help me find my purpose
J. Isaacβs βTime Machineβ is about the pain of living in the present, the desire to escape the present through a device that can transport you to either past or future. The opening verse talks about the feeling of being out of time and out of line due to othersβ lies. The lyrics suggest that the singer wants to forget their past, move away from the current lifestyle, and find a way to make the present more bearable. The chorus βI think I need a time machine to stop my heart from hurting, to make imperfect perfectβ focuses on the desire to erase pain and create a happier life through time travel.
The second verse talks about the singerβs struggles and regrets. It highlights the singerβs longing to change the past and make it right again. The lyrics suggest their desire to make a positive mark on their future, one thatβs worth living for, but unsure what their purpose is in life. Furthermore, the lines, βSipping trizzy I been leaning, I been barely sleepingβ suggest substance abuse to find relief from the present that causes so much pain. The song ends with the chorus, emphasizing the singer's yearning for a time machine to escape their current suffering.
