Growing up heavily exposed to blues, soul, classic rock, and rap, he has blended these styles and created his own original brand of urban music. And even though you won't hear him talking about guns, hustling, or 24's, his music is as real as it gets. Who else can melt a female and melt a mic at the SAME TIME? So don't get it twisted when you hear him sing a smooth chorus--because you can believe that a wicked flow is always nearby. It's a unique mix of styles that came natural to him when he started recording back at the age of 14.
"Back then it was just two tape recorders with a built-in mic," explains James. Since then he's rocked plenty of parties and talent shows, and sold hundreds of self-recorded cds.
And now, driven by his desire, his dream, and his following, he has released his debut studio album, THIN LINE. Collaborating with one of Pittsburgh's top producers, Chris "Mindbender" Longo, (who has worked with Lil' Flip, MC Eiht, Stat Quo, and currently CRAVE), this album will touch all demographics.
Call him an artist on the edge. Maybe even a bit moody. But he calls it like he sees it. J.James doesn't make the rules . . . he just walks along the thin line that we call life.

[Chorus]
I hope that you have been thinking of me too
The way that I have been thinking of you
I hope that you have been thinking of me too
The way that I have been thinking of you
Pick up the phone to call you
But I hung up cause I'm so afraid
Or another woman in your face
Hopin' all day that you would call me
And that you're thinkin' of me too
Well in my case with the game of love
If I played I would probably lose
[Chorus]
I hope that you have been thinking of me too
The way that I have been thinking of you
I hope that you have been thinking of me too
The way that I have been thinking of you
I hope that you're thinkin' of me
And I pray every night you love me
I don't ever want what we have to end
And I'll always be your friend
Don't you feel me calling from afar
If you don't know I've been there from the start
As sure as my name is what it is
You'll always have a place in my heart
[Chorus]
I hope that you have been thinking of me too
The way that I have been thinking of you
I hope that you have been thinking of me too
The way that I have been thinking of you
Ooh, ooh, ooh....
I hope that you have been thinking of me
The way that I have been thinking of you
When I pray every night
That it's me in your dreams when your sleepin'
I really hope that I'm the that you're thinking about
Yeah, yeah, yeah...
[Chorus]
I hope that you have been thinking of me too (I hope that, I hope that you've
been thinkin')
The way that I have been thinking of you (All the time, can't get you off my
mind baby)
I hope that you have been thinking of me too
The way that I have been thinking of you
See I hope that it's you
And I hope that you are baby
Thinking of me too
Ooh, yeah, yeah...
See I hope that you are
Ooh, you're thinking of me
I need for you to think about me
Like I think about you baby
Yeah, yeah, yeah...
I hope that it's you
And I hope that you're thinking of, thinking of, thinking of me too
