Cant Stop
Jack Soul Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Drunk and holding someone else...
Feels like my senses are set to explode
Feels like we're soldiers
Constantly marching forward
Forcing onward...
Feels like sometimes I just don't want to go
Baby let me know
Have you ever loved something so bad?
Like I can't stop loving you babe
It's so pitch black in this place
And I start scaring myself...
I start to question my own mental health
Can anybody feel me at all?
I can't stop loving you, baby
In this world so tired and jaded.
Can anybody feel me at all?
I can't stop loving you, baby
In this world so tired and jaded.
Can anybody feel me at all?
Feels like were soldiers
Constantly marching forward
Forcing onward...
Feels like sometimes I just don't want to go
Baby let me know
Have you ever loved something so bad?
Like I can't stop loving you girl
It's so pitch black in this world
And I start scaring myself...
I start to question my own mental health
Can anybody feel me at all?
I can't stop loving you, baby
In this world so tired and jaded.
Can anybody feel me at all?
The lyrics of Jack Soul's "Can't Stop" express feelings of deep emotional pain and longing. The song's narrator is struggling to come to terms with the fact that his former lover has moved on and is with someone else, while he is still consumed by the intensity of his own feelings for her. He is overwhelmed by the emotions that he is experiencing, feeling like his senses are "set to explode." The opening lines suggest that he knows his ex-lover is somewhere in the city, drunk and holding someone else, and this thought is driving him to the brink of madness.
Throughout the song, the singer compares himself to a soldier, marching forward and forcing onward despite his emotional pain. He questions whether anyone else can understand how he feels, and whether anyone else can feel him at all. Despite his exhaustion and feeling of being "so tired and jaded," he cannot stop loving his ex-lover.
The repetition of the line "Can anybody feel me at all?" creates a sense of loneliness and desperation. The singer is longing for someone to understand him and his pain, but he feels isolated and alone.
Overall, the song is a powerful exploration of love and loss, and the pain that comes with trying to hold on to something that is no longer there.

He was a genius in capturing imagination with his music. I was shocked to see that he had passed away. It was totally unexpected because I haven’t traveled to Canada lately. The musical landscape has changed but Jacksoul music will live on. RIP Haydain.

Yeah, I was born in 94 and lived in Mississauga, had cable and channel surfed the local tv stations (CityTV/CP24, CTV, Globel and CH-CH) and I remember this song being played on the radio a couple times, along with being a part of a promotional-commercial ad for City-TV itself, at around '99 (Plus, also once for sure on much music). Never heard it since post '00.
Fast forward to '08 and when smartphones, apps and Shazam like apps started to exist, I tried hard to figure out this song, but to no avail. Only knew the melody - vaguely. Flash forward to 2012 when I work at the grocery store Metro as a student, I finally heard this song being played as part of the in-store music intercom/PA playlist! I couldn't believe it - I was freaking out and asking other co-workers if they know any details of this song. None knew; however, I made the effort of memorizing the lyrics the best I can interpret them, came home and googled and voila!!
But I was severely disappointed when all I heard from jacksoul - can't stop was the unedited version with the female's vocals. Never heard that version in my childhood, ever. And I find it cringe AF. Definitely hits different and not in a good way. I hope there is a proper "radio edit" can't stop uploaded on Spotify eventually.
Anyways, thanks for this upload version.

Incindria
I found a link for it in this blog post https://30years50albums.wordpress.com/2015/08/24/48-jacksoul-sleepless/, but I knew about it from hearing it on the radio growing up. It took me a couple of hours to find this version, so I figured I should put it on here to make it easier for others.
