In 2007, Jacquees was introduced to his manager, Orlando Grind, by Dexx Lee. After years of performing in local talent shows, Orlando soon introduced him to Russell "Block" Spencer, founder and CEO of Block Entertainment. When Jacquees started going to the studio he merely blended with the team and wasn't given the opportunity to express his true talents. "When you see work being done around you but not for you, you tend to get discouraged," says Jacquees. At that time, Block's focus was only rap, not R&B. It wasn't until summer of 2009 when Block witnessed how talented Jacquees was and shifted his vision. Jacquees began to work closely with Block Entertainment recording and gaining more exposure with the release of his first single "Krazy" featuring Grand Hustle's own, T.I.
Jacquees has recorded with label mates, Gorilla Zoe and Scotty, T.I.P, and an upcoming Atlanta rapper, J-Real. Jacquees dreams to work with established artist Lil Wayne, Drake, Justin Bieber, Bow Wow, Lil' Chuckee, Chris Brown, and many more. "All of these artists started out at the age I am and are successful in the industry. I look up to them and dream that I will be just as successful as they are," Jacquees explains. "Only better!"
"It's truly a blessing to have the opportunity to work with the artist and producers I have already worked with," says Jacquees. "I pray to God every night that I continue on this journey and achieve what I've always dreamed of doing. With God on my side, I know this is only the beginning and there is more to come." With that in mind, Jacquees will achieve any and everything he wants out of the music industry.

Hmm, aw yeah
What? Murphy Kid, hmm
Jacquees, hey, yeah, yeah
Hop out, young Quee, ballin', bossin'
Been on the road but I'm back home, so what's poppin'? (what?)
She wanna roll through my hood, in the whip I'm in
Take her to Blue Flame, let her show me somethin'
I brought my whole team, they can't tell me nothin' (squad)
Go 'head and show me the options (what?)
I need one, so bring me some, oh
Quee knows better, than to come to your trap, not throwin' cash, oh
Quee knows better, than to turn off your song
Run this shit back (baby, you baby)
Baby I know better (baby you work it)
I know better, you fine (more than fine)
I know better
So come here baby let 'em waste your time
Uh-huh
Thick as hell, long hair baby, I been watchin'
Big money, whip money, baby I ain't stoppin'
Cash money, old money, old hunnids, cash done, profit
Drop top, moon rock, roll one with her posse
Your magic, let her show me somethin'
Your man ain't got money, that's why you always runnin' (oh, no)
Go ahead and show me options (yeah, yeah)
I need one, so bring me some, oh
Quee knows better, than to come to your trap, not throwin' cash
(What kind of man you think I am?)
Quee knows better, than to turn off your song
Run this shit back (baby, you baby)
Baby I know better (baby you work it)
I know better, you fine (more than fine)
I know better
So come here baby let 'em waste your time (and let em' waste your)
Uh-huh, baby, baby, baby
Quee knows better, than to come to your trap, not throwin' cash, aww
Quee knows better, than to turn off your song (I know better)
Run this shit back (run it back) (baby you baby)
Baby I know better (baby you work it)
I know better, you fine (come on and work it)
I know better
So come here baby let 'em waste your time (come on)
Uh-huh
Say yeah, uh, yeah
Say ooh (come here baby let 'em waste your time, uh-huh)
In "I Know Better," Jacquees talks about his awareness of how to handle situations he has previously experienced. He opens with speaking about being back home after being on tour and meeting an admirer. He explains how he is aware that she wants him and he is willing to take her out to Blue Flame, a popular strip club in Atlanta, to see what she can do. Jacquees also mentions that he brought his whole team with him, and they are ready to have fun. He addresses how he knows that he should not go to her trap without cash, and he refuses to let her waste his time. Jacquees emphasizes that he knows what he wants and how things should be done, and he won't change his mind.
Furthermore, he elaborates more on the qualities of his ideal woman. He describes a lady with long hair, thick curves, and ample assets. Jacquees explains that he has a significant amount of money, but he is not going to stop working for more. He highlights how much he likes moon rocks and states that he wants to smoke with her and her friends, who he refers to as her "posse." Jacquees notes how the woman's man is always running because he doesn't have money. He also mentions how he expects his ideal woman to give him options because he is a boss.
Overall, "I Know Better" is about being aware of what one deserves and understanding who they are before trying to fit in with someone else's agenda.
