Whip the Honda like a taxi
Got my 40 on my backseat
Cause life getting unpredictable, 1 predicament can be the 1 that centerfolds
& doubles down,
Now my past in my present im in trouble now
Looked back, saw the dirt & tried to scrub it out
But these scrubs around, wanna take me down 6 feet,
On the real im a beast niggas too sweet
Thinking we share similarities
Hell yea im offended no comparing me
Got a couple shoes for a pair of feet shit is not a parody
& me, im not a parakeet,
Staying solid for the land like a Cherokee
Niggas got some deaf ears if they aint hearing me
Face to face same ones dont even dare to speak,
Safe to say the hate a never put fear in me
Im just tryna make it clearer with the clarity
Never at a contest for popularity
Or keeping counts on favors like a charity
My humility only reason they be darin me
I ont see too many as self-aware as me
I still care to speak
Reaching to the meek searching for the peak
Preaching to the strong praying for the weak
Sittin on my trunk looking at the trees
Black sprinter on corner feds down the street
Young man lost in the Army witnessing a sweep
Got homies traumatized from they cell block
Same ones that used to have Riverdale watched
Brother coming home in my face like you cant tell pops
What you see unless you tryna see hell pop stop..
Aint no wishes when the well’s dryin
Aint no dishes when ya stomach’s dyin
Only time you eat, people lying in a grave
Caged in emotions, stuck in the mind frame of a slave
Focused on the pay instead of days made to appreciate
Lookin at the scars from the pain I needa deviate
& find better ways to alleviate all the hurt internally for me to be a great
They see black & white im seein grey
Road to riches gettin bumpy gotta keep it straight
Niggas make a face when you keep a pace
Cause you peeped that it aint a race
Tables turn I just gotta keep my seat in place
Living a world where it’s free to hate
Wanna trick my vision I just gotta keep it straight
Faking intuition I just gotta keep it straight..
Bendin curves while im sipping tryna keep it straight…
Blowin herbs on the ceiling tryna keep it straight..
Left wavey in the benches now its me JADE
Cause they gon always have you twisted if you eat the bait..
Staying firm to my vision imma feed em faith
I just gotta stay the same me, JADE !
The lyrics of Jade's song "Intro" explore the artist's resilience and determination to stay true to herself while navigating through life's challenges. The opening lines depict Jade and CT cruising through the city on backstreets, evoking a sense of freedom and independence. The use of the Honda as a taxi symbolizes the everyday hustle and the need to stay grounded.
The lyrics then transition into a reflection on the unpredictability of life, suggesting that just one predicament can lead to a series of unexpected events. Jade acknowledges the mistakes and hardships of her past, expressing a desire to leave them behind. However, she also acknowledges the presence of people who try to bring her down, using the metaphor of being taken down six feet under. Jade asserts her strength and uniqueness, noting that she cannot be compared to others. She remains true to herself, staying solid like a Cherokee and speaking her truth.
In the second half of the song, Jade shifts her focus to the struggles faced by those around her. She mentions a young man lost in the army and her friends traumatized by their time in jail. Jade emphasizes the importance of empathy and compassion, suggesting that society should prioritize taking care of one another instead of chasing wealth. She confronts the systemic oppression faced by Black individuals, seeing the world in shades of gray rather than just black and white.
Throughout the lyrics, Jade maintains her determination to stay on her path, avoiding distractions and staying focused on her goals. She acknowledges the pressures and challenges she faces but remains steadfast in her vision. The closing lines emphasize the need to stay true to oneself despite the attempts of others to deceive or undermine. Jade expresses her commitment to her art and her unwavering faith in her own abilities.

Jade is by far one of the fairest minded individuals in the game, let alone in the series. Most of her interactions she is civilized, even with her enemies. She's loyal to those she puts her faith in, proving to be a tremendous ally, while also proving to be a deadly enemy if you earned her wrath. Truly a rose with sharp thorns. I love her!
