Despite the challenges, I am determined to earn the admiration of older generations.

I seek to earn the respect and admiration of those who came before me.

That's why I'm pacing back and forth
I am constantly mulling over how to live up to these expectations.

Contemplating, meditating how to use what I've been taught
I am deeply reflecting on how I can use what I have been taught to make a positive impact.

As a positive force
I am driven to be a positive force in the world.

I want people to see and accept me for who I truly am.

I long to be accepted and not judged by others.

I see those who support and believe in me as my guardian angels.

When I write I'm like a puppeteer
When I write, I feel a sense of control over my art, like a puppeteer controlling the strings of a puppet.

Pulling my strings til the melody sings
I control the melody of my art and bring it to life.

And it honestly makes me spread my wings
My art makes me feel free and empowered, like I am spreading my wings.

You are trying to challenge or criticize me.

I am grounded and focused on my goals.

Writing and creating is something I look forward to every day.

People often underestimate and overlook poetry in low-income areas or among marginalized communities.

Through my art and music, I find freedom and self-expression.
