Arden’s ability to candidly discuss topics ranging from bra size to spirituality has solidified her reputation of being unpredictably entertaining, which explains the sell-out crowds at the notable “My Life, My Way” and “Lifefest” speaking series, presented by Chatelaine.

Every doubt you have
All of these things will pass away
All of your big mistakes
Your little old heart would break
I'm wishing that I could take them back
Write down the things you don't want
Burn them in a glass
Make a paper plane that flies to heaven
And buy a ticket for a plane and come and see me baby
Or drive your car all night by just starlight to canada
That's where I'll be
Waiting
All of the empty rooms
All of the silent space
Every warm embrace is you
Nothing is like it was
There's nobody here but us
I have been filled right up with this
Write down the words of sadness
Burn them in a cup
Write down the things you've wanted
Throw them to the wind that's soaring up to heaven
And buy a ticket for a plane and come and see me baby
Or drive your car all night by just starlight
To Canada
Oh buy a ticket for a plane and come and see me baby
Or drive your car all night by just starlight
To Canada
That's where I'll be
Waiting
Waiting
In Jann Arden's song Waiting In Canada, she offers an empathetic and comforting message to someone who is struggling emotionally. The lyrics suggest that the person is experiencing a range of difficult emotions, including doubt, heartbreak, and sadness, but Arden reminds them that these feelings are temporary and will eventually pass. She acknowledges that mistakes have been made, but expresses a desire to take them back and make things right.
Arden then offers a series of creative and symbolic actions that the person can take to cope with their emotions. She suggests writing down the things they don't want or the things that are causing them pain and burning them in a glass or cup, as a way of releasing those negative emotions. She encourages them to write down their dreams and desires and make a paper plane that can fly to heaven, symbolizing the idea of letting go of their troubles and sending their hopes and dreams upward.
The chorus of the song is an invitation for the person to come and see Arden in Canada, whether it's by plane or car. She offers herself as a source of comfort and support, a place where the person can find warmth and love. The final verse of the song speaks to the idea that even though things may not be perfect, the person is not alone. Arden has been filled up by their presence, and together they can face whatever comes their way.
