When singer Bettina Mischke and keyboard player Roland Grosch decided to found Jazzamor in 2001 they perhaps did not imagine that their minimalistic lounge arrangements would take off so quickly. Two albums in three years have highlighted their productivity as they firm out their smoothe 60s jazzy sounds in Europe's main languages. The albums' commercial success have decided the pair on plunging into the live circuit with the same passion they brought to their recordings.
In 2006 they released their third studio album "Travel... (In Order Not To Arrive)". A trip around the world in music. Each song is placed at a special setting in the world. Sometimes it's the language, other times it's an instrument, a rhythm or a story that brings us on a journey to a distant country or a city. Sometimes it's just a wishful dream, other times tales of being there.

Lovin' You
Jazzamor Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I’m sad because you’re not around
I’m lonely so lonely as I can be
Standing here without my love
Looking at that star above
Knowing that the sun of love is due
Loving loving you is so sad
Isn’t bad no no no isn’t bad
Standing here a dream is fade
I quit a world of dusk and shade
Your chain of command has been silenced now
With tear filled eyes open and wide
I start walking change the side
Knowing that my love has gone
Loving loving you is so sad
Maybe leaving leaving you isn’t bad
Isn’t bad no no no isn’t bad
The opening lyrics of Jazzamor’s “Lovin' You” paint a picture of a lonely daybreak in the singer’s hometown, where their sadness and loneliness are palpable due to the absence of their beloved. The melancholic atmosphere is further amplified in the chorus, where the singer expresses that loving the person has become a source of sadness. However, the singer also considers leaving their love behind, even though they acknowledge that it might not be the best solution.
As the song progresses, the singer seems to have made a decision and is now contemplating the aftermath of their choice. The phrase “Standing here a dream is fade” suggests the singer’s reluctance to let go of the relationship, but then they ultimately decide to leave it behind due to the pain it has caused. The line “Your chain of command has been silenced now” could imply that their partner was too controlling in the relationship, and also hints at a desire for freedom from this control. The song ends with the singer knowing that their love is gone, but there is a sense of hope that they will find a new love that will help them move on from the pain.
Overall, “Lovin' You” is a bittersweet ballad of a love story that has come to a painful end. The lyrics convey the singer’s deep sense of loneliness and heartache, while also exploring the complexities of love and the difficult decisions that come with it.
