Jean-Jacques Gaston Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to "Thème de Lisa" by Jean-Jacques Goldman and Roland Romanelli capture the essence of a profound connection between two people through their eyes. The first verse describes how Lisa has dual-colored eyes that convey her emotions, whether she loves or hates something, through the shades of green and brown that swirl in her irises. The singer reveals that, in the past, he used to read his own life in Lisa's eyes, indicating how significant her presence was to him.

However, in the second verse, the singer explains that he has been away from Lisa for months, and without her, he feels like he exists a little less. The absence of her eyes, which he sees himself reflected in, makes him feel like he cannot see himself without her. Overall, the lyrics speak to the intensity of the bond that can form between two people and how much one can rely on another to understand themselves.

@chris92190

Merci encore.

@valerielemacon4489
