In 2005, he bested over 3,000 contestants from 52 countries to win the grand prize in the World Championships of Performing Arts.
There were six categories whereby Jed won the golds. For the pop category, he sang βIβm Your Angel.β For the original song category, meaning a composition from the singerβs home country, he did Martin Nieveraβs old hit, βBe My Lady.β For Broadway (βHomeβ), pop duet (with Risa Navales, they sang (βLast Night of the Worldβ), gospel (βTake Me Out of the Darkβ), and for the final song that made him grand champion, itβs Aerosmithβs βI Donβt Wanna Miss A Thing.β
He also brought home two Champion of the World plaques, one star trophy for the award Grand Champion of the World in the singing division and a huge diamond trophy for the most coveted Grand Champion Performer of the World.
