She might only be 18, but Jennel Garcia knows exactly who she is as an artist. "The artist I am is like a newer present day Pat Benatar. I think a woman finally putting rock music back out there is an awesome idea. I love when women take on what guys normally do and then just do it better," she says.
Jennel found her voice in the second grade when she performed "Fallen" by Alicia Keys at the school's talent show. "That was the start to my passion for singing," she says. Throughout much of her childhood, she performed in vocal troupes and dance teams, which would perform at community events and dinner shows all over Massachusetts.
