Louboutins
Jennifer Lopez Lyrics

Uh uh oh ahhhhhhh radio killa
Taking back my love
Taking back my love
Taking back my love
Taking back my love

You said you changed, but still nothing.
You're still the same, I'm just a part time lover.

And I'm the blame, should've went away.
But yet I stayed, with a part time lover.

See, some days you will love me.
Then you don't, then you do, then you won't.
Then you're here, then you're gone.
I'm alone.

Now you got me stressing out on the phone.
But it's the last time, I'm movin' on,
I'm throwing on my Louboutins.

I'm throwin' on my Louboutins
I'm throwin' on my Louboutins
I'm throwin' on my Louboutins
I'm throwin' on my Louboutins
I'm throwin' on my Louboutins
I'm throwin' on my Louboutins
I'm throwin' on my Louboutins
I'm throwin' on my Louboutins

I left the state, changed everything.
No more 818, for the part time lover.

What goes around, comes back around.
And then you get what you deserve,
You part time lover.

See, some days you will love me.
Then you don't, then you do, then you won't.
Then you're here, then you're gone.
I'm alone.

Now you got me stressing out
On the phone.
But it's the last time, I'm movin' on,
I'm throwing on my Louboutins.

I'm throwin' on my Louboutins
I'm throwin' on my Louboutins
I'm throwin' on my Louboutins
I'm throwin' on my Louboutins
I'm throwin' on my Louboutins
I'm throwin' on my Louboutins
I'm throwin' on my Louboutins
I'm throwin' on my Louboutins

Watch these red bottoms, and the back of my jeans.
Watch me go, bye baby.
Don't know what you got until it's gone.

Tail Lights is all you'll see
Watch this Benz exit that driveway.

I'm throwin' on my Louboutins (eh hey eh)
I'm throwin' on my Louboutins (eh hey eh)
I'm throwin' on my Louboutins (eh hey eh)
I'm throwin' on my Louboutins (eh hey eh)
I'm throwin' on my Louboutins (eh hey eh)
I'm throwin' on my Louboutins (eh hey eh)
I'm throwin' on my Louboutins (eh hey eh)
I'm throwin' on my Louboutins (eh hey eh)

Watch me walk it out,
Walk it out, walk it out.
Walk this right up out the house.
Walk it out watch me walk it out
walk it out walk this right up out the house

I'm throwin' on my Louboutins (out the house)
I'm throwin' on my Louboutins (out the house)
I'm throwin' on my Louboutins (out the house)
I'm throwin' on my Louboutins (out the house)
I'm throwin' on my Louboutins (out the house)
I'm throwin' on my Louboutins (out the house)

I'm throwin' on my Louboutins (out the house)
I'm throwin' on my Louboutins (out the house)

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Jennifer Lopez's hit song Louboutins discuss the end of a tumultuous relationship with a part-time lover. The opening lines of the song, "You said you changed, but still nothing. You're still the same, I'm just a part-time lover. And I'm the blame, should've went away. But yet I stayed, with a part-time lover," suggest that the relationship has been rocky, with the singer feeling as though they are only being given half of their partner's attention and affection. Despite the toxicity of the relationship, the singer has chosen to stay, only to realize that it's time to move on.

The chorus of the song, "See, some days you will love me. Then you don't, then you do, then you won't. Then you're here, then you're gone. I'm alone. Now you got me stressing out on the phone. But it's the last time, I'm movin' on, I'm throwing on my Louboutins," highlights the back-and-forth nature of the relationship, with the lover giving and taking away their affection. In the end, the singer throws on her Louboutins and walks away from the relationship, declaring that she's done with the drama.

The song is a powerful anthem about taking control of one's life and leaving behind toxic relationships. The use of designer Louboutin shoes as a symbol of independence and strength reinforces the idea that the singer is not going to settle for less than she deserves. Throughout the song, there's a sense of power and self-assuredness, as though the singer is finally standing up for herself and taking control of her future.

Such a shame that this song was not a hit on the charts. The song had so much potential and it is so catchy. :) Luckily after she left Epic Records she had a huge comeback with "On the Floor". The "Love?" album also performed well in the US and also on the charts all over the world. :)
