Taking a few years away from the music scene to work on new material, Jennifer released her second studio album, Positively Somewhere, in September 2001. This album featured a more mature pop-rock sound, but went virtually unnoticed in the U.S. after its release due to lack of promotion on her label's part. It wasn't until its European and Asian release in the summer of 2002 that it achieved some success, thanks to the modest hit "Stranded", a cover of the Plumb song. Following the release of this album, Paige parted ways with her label, Edel. As a result, her former label released a compilation record in 2003 called Flowers - The Hits Collection, which comprised all of Paige's singles alongside a selection of other material lifted from her first two albums.
It wasn't until April 2008 that Jennifer Paige released her follow-up album, Best Kept Secret. Released in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland in 2008 through her new label GLOR Music Production GmbH, it included the singles "Wasted", "Underestimated", and the Nick Carter collaboration "Beautiful Lie".
A few years later, Paige collaborated with Coury Palermo for a couple of EPs but returned to her solo ventures for her first Christmas album, Holiday. Released in November 2012, it featured original seasonal material along with reworkings of old classics.
Following a successful kickstarter campaign, Paige released her fifth studio album in March 2017. Originally called Daydreamer, it was eventually renamed Starflower, and includes the single "The Devil's in the Details".
The Edge
Jennifer Paige Lyrics

Bodies crash in the sound and sight
I see your face break through in a flash of a light
With eyes that seem to read my mind
I feel we've touched in another time
And suddenly my heart is coming alive
And I feel you calling me
Pulling me closer
want to give you all of me
Oh I
I think I'm going over
Over the edge
The night unfolds like a lover's arms
But we can't talk
Don't know where to start
We breathe as one but we're two worlds apart
So let's not question right or wrong
want to move with you 'til the night is gone
And suddenly this is where we belong
And I feel you calling me
All night
Pulling me closer
want to give you all of me
Oh I
I think I'm going over
Over the edge
If I'm going over baby come with me
All the way over, baby
And I feel you calling me
All night
Pulling me closer
want to give you all of me
Oh I
I think I'm going over
Over the edge
The lyrics of Jennifer Paige's song The Edge talks about a momentary connection between two people amidst the chaos of a crowded room. The singer sees the person she is drawn to in a flash of light, and their eyes meet, creating an unspoken understanding between them. The singer feels compelled to move closer to this person, and in doing so, she feels like she is going over the edge. The night unfolds like a lover's arms, as the two breathe as one, but they're two worlds apart. They don't know where to start, but they don't need to question whether their connection is right or wrong. They just want to move together until the night is over.
The lyrics beautifully capture the feeling of a fleeting encounter that leads to an emotional peak. The singer feels completely taken over by the moment and the intensity of the experience. She is instinctively drawn to the person she sees, and she wants to give herself completely to them, without hesitation or reservation. Ultimately, she knows that this moment will be fleeting, but she doesn't care. The experience is worth the risk of going over the edge.
Overall, Jennifer Paige's song The Edge is a beautifully crafted and evocative story of a moment of connection and passion in the midst of chaos. The lyrics capture the feeling of being pulled into something intense and exhilarating, and the desire to give oneself completely to that moment, without worrying about what comes next.
