Invincible
Jesse Abbey Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Invincible
How I've been beaten
But through it all I didn't beg the beater
Instead of fall
To pain and past
My heart and bones
Were built to last
Silence is the antidote
When violence might seem better
When I feel like an animal
An animal
Invincible
I am
Invincible
I am
The greatest here
I am
Invicible
I am
I kicked the wall
And lost my balance
Then fixed the hole like it was automatic
I cried my tears
I felt my wrath
Then built my boat so I could sail it past
I grabbed the wheel and I turned it slow
Cause I'm the captain of my own soul
I am the master of my own fate
So I won't be just good, I'll turn out great
Silence is the antidote
When violence might seem better
When I feel like an animal
An animal
Invincible
I am
Invincible
I am
The greatest here
I am
Invicible
I am
Man down, the winter wears the crown
These dark skies are humbling when they're loud
Rolling thunder
The light's out
My last breath seems a blessing right about now
But ooh wee, this life is a movie
You're playing the good guy but headed for defeat, nah
Last chance to get up on your feet
The screen turns to black, they clap
Cause you're invincible
I am
Invincible
I am
The greatest here
I am

Invincible
I am

Hey all, how good is the artwork by Common Sense?!

This song was inspired by an old poem called 'Invictus', written by William Ernest Henley. He wrote that poem while he was in the hospital with one leg amputated and the other disabled. The message is that despite the hardships that he's gone through in his life, his mind and soul are undefeatable. So when I was at a low point in my life, I wrote 'Invincible', because I knew that I would be fine at the end of the day.

So LET'S GOOOOOO!! ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ

"Silence is the antidote when violence might seem better."
I find myself repeating those words to myself whenever I get angry.

@neofurby-yorke7950

Me too

@theeguy9022

It's fine to be angry, just learn to express it in a new way. Anger is inherently something that is unwillingly forced into the world so turn it to something creative, perhaps learn an rpg and write custom content for it, it might seem hard at first but eventually the anger will find its purpose

This guy may only have 3 songs, (that I know of) but I love the message behind every one of them. Such creative music you gotta love it.
