I want my music to be your favorite pair of blue jeans. I want it to be comfy. Perhaps that’s an artsy way of saying I want my CD to be the one that you put on regardless of where you are and how you’re feeling because you know you’re going to take something away from it no matter what’s going on in your life. What kind of music is it? That’s usually the number one question on everyone’s list for a singer/songwriter. My music is what you want to call it. I don’t like to label myself into a box. I want people to get a good feeling in their soul from these songs. Pop rock, Soul Pop…whatever you want to call it is okay with me. I just want it to make people feel good inside. I know that women like Sheryl Crow, Shania Twain, Alanis Morrisette and Adele made me want to sing. But I’m not really trying to be the next anyone. I’m just being the first me.
I’m a girl who grew up moving from home to home. And after I taught myself how to play guitar, I started playing shows around my hometown, Melbourne. When I was 16, I was fortunate to make it all the way to the top 100 in Australian idol. 2009 was a big year for me, I was chosen to be apart of the Tamworth Country Music College and Also became a Grand Finalist in the Telstra Road To Tamworth which was a massive buzz for me. I now perform regularly at festivals and competitions all around Australia, not just because of the music, but because I also love the people and the atmosphere. Making new friends from all over the country that share the same passion as I do.
I recently recorded my very first EP in Nashville with producers Matthew Fell and Sam Hawksley, It was an experience I never want to forget. And is an achievement I am most proud of. Whilst I was Over in the States I went and watched one of my Idols, Adele in Concert and It was then I decided I was going to be a musician who played shows that gave people a chance to just ‘sit in my living room’ with me. To feel like they are part of my story, like I felt with 3,000 other people watching Adele on stage.

I got it all together
Two times last time
I start to feel the weather
Three times last time
I realise what your doing
You've always had a hold on me
I got it all together
Two times last time
I start to feel the weather
Three times last time
I realise what your doing
You've always had a hold on me
I've been chasing memories
For too long boy
I've been holding on to you
But it's all wrong
It's bout time
I listen to what my girl says and
I'm gonna go my way
And not back to your place
I just want my paper
I don't need the extra stress but
You've been doing me dirty better keep ya hands in check
Uh hope that you get what you've been dying for
My love is not a test so what you playing for
(Woah)
I know what I'm worth
(Woah)
I'm not settling for nobody
(Woah)
It's gonna get better I put my trust in love
I put my trust in love
I put my trust in love
One time this time
I got it all together
Two times last time
I start to feel the weather
Three times last time
I realise what your doing
You've always had a hold on me
One time this time
I got it all together
Two times last time
I start to feel the weather
Three times last time
I realise what your doing
You've always had a hold on me
Nobody ever told me how
This would feel
My momma never warned me that
Love was real
I guess I always had it in the back of mind
That God would give me my time to cry
But it's not the last he says
This aint the worst it gets
Life is about the mess
Just make it all for the best
(Woah)
I know what I'm worth
(Woah)
I'm not settling for nobody
(Woah)
It's gonna get better I put my trust in love
I put my trust in love
I put my trust in love
One time this time
I got it all together
Two times last time
I start to feel the weather
Three times last time
I realise what your doing
You've always had a hold on me
One time this time
I got it all together
Two times last time
I start to feel the weather
Three times last time
I realise what your doing
You've always had a hold on me
One time this time
I got it all together
Two times last time
I start to feel the weather
Three times last time
I realise what your doing
You've always had a hold on me
In "One Time" by Jessica Jade, the lyrics describe a relationship that has been on and off. The repetition of "One time this time, I got it all together" reflects the singer's realization that they have finally gained clarity and understanding about the situation. The lyrics suggest that the singer has been blind to the manipulations of their partner, who has always had a hold on them.
The second verse reveals the singer's desire to break free from the toxic relationship. They have been holding onto memories for too long and finally realize that it's not worth it. The singer acknowledges the advice of their friends ("what my girl says") and decides to go their own way, prioritizing their own well-being over being with their partner. The singer wants to focus on their goals and not be weighed down by the stress caused by their partner's actions.
The chorus emphasizes the singer's self-worth and determination to find better love. They refuse to settle for less and believe that things will improve when they put their trust in love. The lyrics convey a sense of empowerment and resilience, as the singer recognizes their own value and decides to move on from the toxic relationship.
