At the 2007 Canadian Country Music Awards, Farrell was nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year and the Chevy Rising Star Award. Farrell's debut album, Nothing Fancy, was released on October 9, 2007. The first single, "Let's Talk About Love," peaked in the top 10 on the Canadian Country Singles chart.
Her band includes lead guitar player Jesse Tucker, Ryland Haggis on Bass, Jessie Godin on drums and Kylee Epp for backup vocals.Tucker also co-wrote the album with Farrell.
In 2008, Jessie Farrell won Female Artist of the Year and the Top New Female Talent Award at the Canadian Country Music Awards. Jessie is now planning to record a follow-up album.
Currently, Jessie resides in Vancouver, BC.

I saw Jessie in Cavendish this summer for the second time. I have loved her since she played in Moncton about 5 years ago. I met her during an autograph session in Moncton and she blew me away when she replaced my cd after spelling my name in the french version. This song is so sweet, and I love that she wrote it for her baby girl but it can be for both a baby or a relationship. I can't wait to hear more from Jessie.

right on the other side of this lake where she is sitting is one of my favorite camp spots. there are no roads back there, just go by motorboat or canoe, and have done both, but she picked a great place to sing this song. i can almost smell the wood smoke from a campfire. that's my kind of country and just heard her music lately and love this song. others will too i'm sure:):)
