2018 saw much growth for the budding star. “Nobody Knows” follows the Summer 2018 release of singles “Cocaine,” “Kiss You Good” and “Come and Go (featuring ROME),” which have received millions of streams across platforms since release and received acclaim from the likes of Billboard, Complex and more. He’s cleared the decks for his upcoming album that melds his honest perspective and gritty L.A. roots into new sonic heights.
He spent the Fall on a 21-date North America tour, in support of Azizi Gibson, taking his energetic live show to venues such as Baby’s All Right in New York City and The Roxy in Los Angeles. He possesses a riveting live show that has seen him open for the likes of Chance The Rapper and B.o.B, and share the stage with Kanye West, J.Cole, G-Eazy (whom he has also collaborated with) at festivals around the world, and more. This past summer, he opened for rapper NONAME in the U.K. and performed at the HYPE Festival in Germany. Along with his own music, Jez Dior runs an imprint, Funeral Crew, which has signed a slew of like-minded artists.
Dior’s music has amassed over 45 million global streams overall, and in 2018 his music was streamed for over 1 million hours on Spotify alone. Now with his upcoming album, 2019 is poised to be Jez Dior’s biggest year yet.
Lucky Enough

All it did was burn through the sheets, guess that I'm lucky enough
Came home and my house got robbed, took my laptop and my stuff
At least my guitar was still there, guess that I'm lucky enough
Lucky enough
They grab on that big o'l butt, just met her but I bet she cut
And I've been in this spot all night, bartender got me drunk
I sleep all throughout the day and I don't wake up through the night
At least I got friends, but I miss my family, my mom and my sister, my grammy
My girl the best, she put up with me, she knows I'ma get me a grammy
Walkin' down the boulevard jus' lookin' at all the stars
That'll be me one day, it's about to be ours
Fell asleep with my cigarette lit, had a dream the house went up
All it did was burn through the sheets, I guess that I'm lucky enough
Came home and my house got robbed, took my laptop and my stuff
At least my guitar was still there, guess that I'm lucky enough, I'm lucky enough
The opening verse of Jez Dior's song "Lucky Enough" seems to be a reflection on the fragility of life and the things that people often take for granted. The artist speaks about falling asleep with a cigarette lit and having a dream of the house burning down, which is a metaphor for the possibility of sudden death or loss. However, even after such a catastrophic event in the dream, the artist feels "lucky enough" that it was just a dream and no real harm was done. The second verse is a continuation of the same theme, as the artist speaks about a recent incident where his house was robbed and his possessions were stolen. Despite the loss, he feels "lucky enough" that his guitar was still there. The overall message seems to be that life is unpredictable and can throw unexpected challenges at us, but it's important to focus on the positives and be grateful for what we have.
The chorus is a repetition of the phrase "I'm lucky enough," which reinforces the theme of gratitude for the small things in life. The rest of the song touches on other aspects of the artist's life, such as his struggles with substance abuse, missing his family, and his dreams of becoming successful in the music industry. However, each time he faces a challenge, he reminds himself that he is "lucky enough" to have certain things in his life that others may not.
Overall, "Lucky Enough" is a song that encourages listeners to practice gratitude and appreciate the little things in life, even in the face of adversity. It's a reminder that life is a mix of highs and lows, but ultimately, it's up to us to focus on the positives and keep pushing forward.

don't kill my vibe
E eu estive neste local durante a noite inteira, o bartender me embebedou
Vou me envolver, bebidas suficientes para a raiva
Sou sortudo o bastante, sortudo o bastante
Sou sortudo o bastante, sortudo o bastante
Sou sortudo o bastante, sortudo o bastante
Sou sortudo o bastante, sortudo o bastante
