What are words worth?
What are words worth?- words
Words in papers, words in books
Words on TV, words for crooks
Words to make the fighting cease
Words to tell you what to do
Eat your words but dont go hungry
Words have always nearly hung me
What are words worth?
What are words worth?-words
Words of nuance, words of skill
And words of romance are a thrill
Words are stupid, words are fun
Words can put you on the run
Mots pressx, mots sensx
Mots qui disent la vit?
Mots qui manquent le fruit desprit
What are words worth?
What are words worth?-words
What are words worth?
What are words worth?-words
Words can make you pay and pay
Four-letter words I cannot say
Panty, toilets, dirty devil
Words are trouble, words of subtle
Words of anger, words of hate
Words over here, words out there
In the air and everywhere
Words of wisdom, words of strife
Words that write the book I like
Words wont find no right solution
Say the right word, make a millon
Words are like a certain person
Who cant say what they mean
Dont mean what they say
Jill's song Wordy Rappinghood is a celebration of the power of words. The song explores the different ways that words can be used: they can be used to inform, to manipulate, to entertain, to express love and hatred, and to inspire or disappoint. The song considers how words can be both harmful and helpful, and how they can be used to facilitate or hinder communication.
The lyrics of the song present a series of statements about words and then ask the listener to consider what words are worth. The first verse highlights that words can be found in many places and can have different purposes. Words can be used to end conflicts or direct our behavior, and can even help us avoid hunger. The second verse offers a more nuanced view of the value of words, suggesting that some words are more valuable than others. The French lines in the verse provide an example of how language can express meaning in many ways. The third verse returns to the question of what words are worth and highlights both the power of words to cause trouble and their ability to convey wisdom.
Overall, Jill's song Wordy Rappinghood is a clever commentary on the complexities of language and the many different ways that words impact our lives.
