Your hands
Jim Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴
But don't you think now is the time
To sort things out before it's too late
It took a minute to change the weather
You broke the rulez you were out of line
You threw my heart into the shade
Can't face it again
Can't take it again
Chorus
You took my life into your hands
And turned it upside down
When everything looked so fine
To me it just doesn't make sense
I'm rooted to the ground
I gotta pay the fine
The road ahead is pved with teardrops
Gotta wipe to lay down the lines
And be aware of what's to come
It's gonna take al whole lot of time though
To turn a shattered life back into new
I sure did change my point of view
Can;t face it again
Can't take it again
Not again.
Chorus
I wonder why I didn't see you disappear
I didn't speak out loud to you I had this fear
Turned and turned around to see
How I wanted it to be
I wonder if it's ever gonna be the same
If I will be the one who's gonna lose the game
Tried to figure out the love that you lay on me
Chorus:
You took my heart into your hands
And turned it upside down
Now there's nothing left to defend
To me it just doesn't make sense
I've seen it all before
And now I'm wondering
Who's gonna write the end.
As the title suggests, "...And the Gods Made Love" is an instrumental track by Jimi Hendrix, included in his iconic album "Electric Ladyland." The song reportedly was inspired by Jimi's experiences with the psychedelic drug LSD and aims to convey a sense of spiritual connection and transcendence. The track begins with a slow instrumental introduction, featuring ominous soundscapes and electronic sounds, which gradually evolves into a more upbeat and frenzied musical arrangement. The overall tone of the song is dream-like, with a sense of otherworldliness and mysticism.
The instrumental composition of the song is highly intricate, featuring a variety of intricate guitar effects and unconventional production techniques. The track is noted for its use of distortion and feedback, which imitates the sounds of an electric guitar being played at loud volume. The rhythm section is relatively simplistic, focusing primarily on the bass guitar, and the drums take a minimalist approach. Throughout the track, there is a range of musical influences, including jazz, blues, funk, and psychedelic rock. However, the song ultimately creates a unique sound that is entirely Jimi Hendrix's own.

Every year on the 4th of July, Jim Lindberg throws a block party BBQ for all the family's that live on his street in Manhattan Beach. Jim has a few buddies come by with acoustic instruments and jam for the kids. Couldn't meet a nicer guy, ill be a fan for life.

Love hearing this! Dude's been a hero of mine since I was 12. It's great when heros exceed our expectations!
@vedaandchristyruiz9872
I had the privilege of meeting him after a show in Atlanta and saw him duck out after the Bro Hymn. I went to the bus and one of the crew told him I wanted to meet him for a picture and to get him to sign Punk Rock Dad. Very genuine guy and I thought it was cool that he took time from a phone call with his wife to visit with me. Great guy!

My life wouldn't have been the same if I hadn't come across Jim Lindberg and Pennwise as a 16-year-old in 1991.
This is good. I root for Jim and wish him all the best.
