🎵 Ringle, ringle,
Coins when they mingle,
Make such a lovely sound!
New guineas and tuppence, and threepence (pronounced thrup-pence) and bob,
Make my ears tingle, and keep my heart throbbin',
Crowns and coppers,
Little live hoppers can make my pulses pound,
Coins in a column, convenient for stacking,
Denominational or alphabetical,
(chuckles) Oh, ringle, ringle, coins when they jingle,
Make such a lovely sound! 🎵
Scrooge: Cratchit! You've had your coal for the day, and there will be no more!
Bob Cratchit: Eh, begging your pardon, sir, I simply thought, sir, since it is Christmas Eve -
Scrooge: Since it is Christmas Eve, this would be a disastrous time for you, Cratchit, to find yourself without a position!
Cratchit: Uh, no sir - yes sir, you're absolutely right, sir. Forgive me, sir
Scrooge: If you spent more time tending to your job, you wouldn't have time to feel the cold! Ah, drat this help situation! He'll be wanting a feather bed and tea service, next...
(Resumes counting) 4033, 4036... (wheezing cackle)
🎵 Scrooge: Ringle, ringle, coins when they mingle, make such a lovely sound, Guineas and tuppence, threepence and bob...
Crowns and coppers, gold in my coffers, makes such a lovely sound, they make my pulses pound,
Humbug, it's humbug, is giving to charity!
Orphans are pesky, and Christmas a peril, it's ringle, ringle, coins when they jingle make such a lovely sound! 🎵
🎵 (Cratchit: It's cold, it's cold, it's freezing cold, Please, Mr. Scrooge, ple-ease! One lump of coal! Mr. Scrooge!
It's cold, it's cold, it's cold...
Please Mr., please Mr., please Mr. Scrooge, it's cold! It's co-old!) 🎵

First saw this back in 1962 as a young child. This was and remains my favorite adaptation of A Christmas Carol. The songs are wonderful, and I love how it shows Scrooge's boyhood.
@kevinfan726
this is the BEST Christmas special and it's a shame they don't show it or when they do, they cut this song and the We're Despicable song.
@NYVoice
Screw "they". Get it in DVD or Blu-ray.

Mr. Magoo is the first adaptation of A Christmas Carol I was ever introduced to; as well as the very first Christmas special I ever saw in my life.
@theplaguegamer6216
My first Christmas Carol as well I always hum this song, it's reprise, and "All alone in the world" this time of year

@mattlatourette513
You can still see it on peacock and it’s not cut
@nunyabeeswax3936
Jim Bacchus was good at what ever he did as an actor....
@rstein926
This might not be the most well known film adaptation of the story but Magoo was perfect as Scrooge
@bebopmom
I loved watching this when I was a little kid. No one plays this anymore 😥
