Christmas is almost here
But some things can’t be bought
It must come from the heart
Light up the dark
With your radiant smile
Hug a stranger this Christmas
Because we could all
Let’s go and see the Christmas lights
This Christmas night
Hit the streets and sing Christmas cheers
Let’s raise each other’s spirits
Let’s go and see the Christmas lights
This Christmas night
Hit the streets and sing Christmas cheers
Let’s raise each other’s spirits
Light up the dark
With your radiant smile
Hug a stranger this Christmas
Because we could all
Use a little more love, this festive season
Light up the dark
With your radiant smile
Hug a stranger this Christmas
Because we could all
Use a little more love, this festive season
Light up the dark
With your radiant smile
Hug a stranger this Christmas
Because we could all
Use a little more love, this festive season

It suggests that material possessions are not what truly matters during Christmas, but rather the gestures of love, compassion, and genuine care.

It reflects the belief that small acts of kindness can have a significant impact on others, especially during this festive time.
The mention of "hugging a stranger this Christmas" further emphasizes the importance of reaching out to people, even those we may not know, with a compassionate touch. It suggests that the holiday season should be a time for building connections, spreading love, and fostering a sense of community and togetherness.
The chorus encourages listeners to go out and see the Christmas lights, sing songs of cheer in the streets, and lift each other's spirits. This serves as a reminder that the joy and magic of Christmas can be found in shared experiences, in coming together as a community to celebrate and bring joy to one another.
