From playing absolute rockabilly in the beginning, John Lindberg Trio have incorporated modern influences along the way and created a tougher sound, without losing the rockabilly style.
Combined with their tight and explosive live show, this made them one of Sweden’s most popular live acts.
John Lindberg Trio musical journey started with 13 year old John on stage with his guitar.
When Martin (double-bass) and Jocke (drums) joined later on, everything fell into place. In spite of their young age they are already widely experienced and have done more live gigs than most band do in a lifetime. The release of their debut album in 2006 was followed by a Christmas tour as supporting act for The Refreshments – and consistently became the band people talked about when the night was over. The two following albums were well received by their old fans and also generated lots of new. The band is now planning to release their fifth album in February 2011.
John Lindberg Trio journey continues, with no ending in sight.

California on my mind
And rolled in into Raleigh and all across Carolina
Stopped in Charlotte and bypassed Rock Hill
′And we never was a minute late
Rollin′ out of Georgia state
Half way 'cross Alabam
And that 'hound broke down and left us all stranded
In downtown Birmingham
Right away, | bought me a through train ticket
Ridin′ cross Mississippi clean
′And | was on that midnight flier out of Birmingham,
Smoking into New Orleans
Somebody help me get out of Louisiana
Just help me get to Houston town
There are people there who care a little 'bout me
′And they won't let the poor boy down
Sure as you′re born, they bought me a silk suit
Chuck Berry
The lyrics of John Lindberg Trio's song, The Fool, talk about the journey of a man from Norfolk, Virginia to California, passing through different states of America. The first two lines of the song depict his feeling of being attached to his home in Norfolk but still having his mind set on California. He is on the move and has already crossed Raleigh and all of Carolina, stopped briefly in Charlotte, and bypassed Rock Hill. However, despite all the traveling, he was never late for his appointments. He mentions how they were ninety miles out of Atlanta by sundown, rolling out of Georgia State, but unfortunately, their car broke down in Birmingham, leaving them stranded.
The next few lines talk about his journey from Birmingham to Houston via Mississippi and Louisiana. He seeks help to get out of Louisiana and reach his destination in Houston, where he knows that good people are waiting to take care of him. He expresses confidence in the people of Houston, who he believes will not let him down. Finally, he talks about how they bought him a silk suit, perhaps indicating that he has achieved success in Houston.
Overall, The Fool is a song about a man's journey through different states of America, his struggles, and ultimately, his hopes in Houston.
