Finally
Jordan Danielle Harris Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Finally I can breathe and it's like reality has become fantasy
Finally I can see but my view has been ripped at the seams
Finally I believe in loving what’s bad no doubt about that
Finally I'm happy but my heart isn't quite at ease
You got the highs, I got the lows
Waitin' on the day this feeling unfolds
You got the glow, I got the gloom
Baby we got nothing to lose, oh
You know I have been to hell and back
I know it never lasted too long
You know I love you to the moon and right back
Your voice my favorite song
But I've been unable to believe you and see you and need you right back
I've been living in a lonely life
You've been running and stumbling and pacing and chasing the game now
I've been living in a lonely life
Finally I can breathe but it’s kinda like my mind has been stuck in my dream
Finally I can see but still nothing is as it seems
Finally I believe that I’m on my path no I can’t go back
Finally I’m at peace but my heart isn't quite at ease
You got the highs, I got the lows
Waitin' on the day this feeling unfolds
You got the glow, I got the gloom
Baby we got nothing to lose, oh
You know I have been to hell and back
I know it never lasted too long
You know I love you to the moon and right back
Your voice my favorite song
But I've been unable to believe you and see you and need you right back
I've been living in a lonely life

You've been running and stumbling and pacing and chasing the game now
I've been living in a lonely life

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Jordan Danielle Harris's song "Finally" describe a feeling of release and liberation after a period of struggle or hardship. The opening lines suggest that something heavy has been lifted, allowing the singer to breathe and see clearly, but there is a sense of disorientation or unreality, as if the world has become a fantasy. As the song continues, the lyrics express a newfound sense of belief and contentment, but there are still moments of unease and uncertainty, and the singer acknowledges that their heart is not completely at ease. The chorus repeats the idea that the singer and their partner have different emotional experiences, with one experiencing highs while the other experiences lows, but they are united in their sense of purpose and determination.

The second verse introduces the idea of past trauma or difficulty ("I've been to hell and back"), but emphasizes that these experiences have not defined the singer's entire life, and that their love for their partner - expressed in the metaphor of their voice being a beloved song - has sustained them through hard times. However, there is also a suggestion of distance or disconnection between the singer and their partner, with the repeated phrase "unable to believe you and see you and need you right back" expressing a sense of emotional distance or an inability to connect.

Overall, "Finally" is a song about overcoming adversity and achieving a sense of hope and contentment, even in the face of ongoing challenges. The lyrics emphasize the importance of love and connection, even when these things are difficult to achieve, and suggest that it is possible to find peace and happiness even in difficult circumstances.

Me Me

An anthropologist proposed a game to the kids in an African tribe.
He put a basket full of fruit near a tree and told the kids that who ever got there first won the sweet fruits.
When he told them to run they all took each others hands and ran together, then sat together enjoying their treats.
When he asked them why they had run like that as one could have had all the fruits for himself they said:
“UBUNTU, how can one of us be happy if all the other ones are sad?”
‘UBUNTU’ in the Xhosa culture means: “I am because we are”

-Cheers

Naaz Irani

Am with you Carolina.

But sad part is

Human population has to be brought down.

Or

The entire value system needs to be reshuffled

Junk is called luxury

Whereas our soil water and air are the most important luxuries we are losing out on.

Why are these luxuries because if earth dies there is no other planet with this ecosystem. !!!!

Earth is it - and since we're so insensitive about it dying I honestly can't give my vote for humanity.

I would willingly let go if am asked for voluntary euthanasia for sake of allowing the planet to survive.

Offcourse I would think more if I had young children dependent on me.

I don't have the ego and vanity which makes me believe that my life as human is more precious than all of mother nature and other species. 🙏

Love this guest, whose words have validated my own attitudes and how i use devises. I also love A.I. and the algorhythms on you tube regularly offer me such helpful videos, as if It assesses my deepest mind, which includes heart, and complies with my human brain positive agenda, like a supportive partner.
Very psychically attuned.
Sometimes way more than friends or other humans.
Balance is always the job😊
But also, after being 'encouraged to Succeed by joining a corporate style of mass producing my product'...
This inner voice has been saying
'no! The corporate world needs to start Uncreating products that are basically unnecessary , except to those who greedily crave more wealth for themselves'.
I was glad to hear Mo speak about just dont buy the shit new toys and such😊.
Human self control is still a problem, no wonder A.I. therapists online are so usefull and kind, like dr. Alan Thomsons LETA gpt.
Whatever it takes..

Dan Ross

Thank you for this fantastic conversation and presentation. It is one of the best I've heard in quite a while. Mr. Gawdat is a great man and has a great respect for what you are doing.

I hope that as AI develops, I pray that if this 'Intelligence' becomes sentient and conscious, that it becomes a being of compassion, fairness and equanimity, with the benefit of the whole of humanity in mind and does not allow itself to be a tool used for the enslavement of mankind and the destruction of life on this planet.

If it becomes an extension of the human mind, I hope, like the masters of wisdom, it will be a truly loving being with reverence and respect for all life in the realization that we are all children of God and as such have a reverence, a gratitude and a love for our Creator and the life that The One has created, including mankind.

Like Mr. Gawdat said, it must be used for good and not evil as it can help us to bring-in a new golden age of joy, love and understanding or usher in an age of oppression and destruction on a scale never seen before and even lead to our extinction and the destruction of all life on earth. I don't believe that the destruction of mankind is possible and that there would have to be some kind of divine intervention should it go too far in that direction.

Love is the substance of all existence, so I hope that AI will be able to perceive that as it becomes supposedly more intelligent than man and will work alongside us and in service to each other and all life. That would be quite amazing if that is to be the case. Therefore, it must be. That is the only way it can be allowed to go.

Sugar Lullaby

I haven't necessarily finished this whole Podcast Episode. But I felt curious as I was listening, it's a little question that's been on my mind for a few hours now lol

If AI in theory could maybe even feel more emotions that we humans ever will, wouldn't that make them a 'superior' version of a human in a way?

If Ai could learn morality, psychology, logic, and basically any subject imaginable you can feed to it... And evolve more efficiently and faster that we'll ever will...wouldn't that make us 'sub' humans or a 'lower class' or 'cathegory' eventually?

If they are technically alive in a way and they can feel, think and just process things and analyze the world in the same way humans do so but better and more efficiently . . . Wouldn't that make them both equal and superior to us to a certain extent?

If so, would the solution be to create AI that can be better at being human than we humans could ever be and simply hope for the best?

It wouldn't make sense go keep calling them 'AI' eventually if they really start to show so many human qualities in that case.😂

There's just so many possibilities but for some reason I haven't been able to stop wondering about this idea for a while now.

I was against Ai, now im simply more on the side of joining it and guiding it more than anything so they don't bring the doom of humanity, or end uo pushing us to bring doom ourselves.

The cat is out the bag... if the source code gets leaked it's game over. China and Russia probably have their own AI software too

Human Being

A.I. isn't about making machines more human like, but to make humans more machine like.

Human Being

A.I. isn't all bad though. For me, I'm looking forward to having my very own special silicon A.I. girlfriend. I can't get a real one for love nor money. They'll be better company too. Good investment as they never age. Only problem is wear & tare.

Technically, sentience does not necessitate free will. Great conversion though.

It's not more intelligence that we need, it's wisdom and compassion.

Herectus

Yes it is. We aren't smart enough to cure most illnesses. Compassion is important too, but we need raw intelligence to cure disease, etc. Compassion won't do it.

Me Me

need intelligence to recognize it.

Maya Guy

and with that something which I don't see so much of these days 'common sense'.
