Do You Hear What I Hear?

Said the little lamb to the shepherd boy,
Do you hear what I hear
Ringing through the sky, shepherd boy,
Do you hear what I hear (do you hear what I hear)
A song, a song, high above the trees
With a voice as big as the sea
With a voice as big as the sea
Said the shepherd boy to the mighty king,
Do you know what I know (do you know what I know)
In your palace warm, mighty king,
Do you know what I know (do you know what I know)
A Child, a Child shivers in the cold
Let us bring Him silver and gold
Let us bring Him silver and gold
Said the king to the people everywhere,
Listen to what I say (listen to what I say)
Pray for peace, people everywhere!
Listen to what I say (listen to what I say)
The Child, the Child, sleeping in the night
He will bring us goodness and light, yeah
He will bring us goodness and light
Do you know? (do you hear what I hear)
Do you know? (do you hear what I hear)
(Do you hear what I hear)
Do you know?
Do you know?
The song "Do You Hear What I Hear?" by Jordin Sparks is a Christmas classic that tells the story of a little lamb and a shepherd boy who both hear something special in the sky. The lamb asks the boy if he hears what she hears, and the boy confirms that he hears a song with a voice as big as the sea. The boy then goes to tell the mighty king what he has heard and asks if he knows what he knows. The king is unaware of the Child who is shivering in the cold, and the boy suggests that they bring Him silver and gold. Finally, the king tells the people everywhere to listen to what he says, asking them to pray for peace, and reminding them that the Child will bring them goodness and light.
The song has a poignant message that still resonates with people today, and it is frequently played during the holiday season. The lyrics, while simple, convey a powerful message of hope and the beauty of the Christmas story. The lamb, shepherd boy, and king all represent different parts of the story, and their reactions to what they hear reflect their roles in the story of the birth of Jesus.
