1. JOSHUA is a member of the K-pop boy group SEVENTEEN.

2. New York based three-piece indie-rock band consisting of Keith Bogart (bass), Shane Chikeles (drums), and Dan Coutant (vocals/guitar). First release in 1997 was a self-titled EP through Doghouse Records. After two additional EPs and the recruitment of second guitarist Rob Suchan, they released their first full-length Album, A Whole New Theory in 1999, also through Doghouse Records.

3. Joshua is a hard rock band founded by guitarist Joshua Perahia. The band has had several members who are well known for their solo works nowadays, such as Rob Rock and Ken Tamplin.

4. Joshua is a rock/pop group from Aarhus, Denmark. They are similar in sound to Porcupine Tree, Queen, Anathema and Pearl Jam.

5. Real Name: Olivier Picard
Profile: Joshua started mixing in 1992 after hearing a Techno program on the radio. Some BPMs later, his style had become Hardcore… He then started creating music and released his first EPs in September ’98 on KS Records and Epiteth Records. Others followed on KS, Epiteth, Beast, Neurotoxic… until 2002 when he released his ‘Spleen’ mix CD.
He also played in a lot of parties like ‘Hardcore Paradise’ in Strasbourg , at the KL in Toulouse, at D-Day in Nancy, in London…
Joshua likes morbid ambiences, industrial sounds & dancefloor tracks that are not too linear.
In april 2000 he created his own label Striking Wave to release new artists of the electronic scene.

6. Joshua is the name of the spacious acoustic strings / drone project of former Tower Recordings member Joshua Burkett. He recorded an album, "Gold Cosmos" in 2001 containing collaborations with Ben Chasny (Six Organs of Admittance), Chris Corsano (Sunburned Hand of the Man), Dredd Foole, as well as former Tower Recordings members P.G. Six and Matt Valentine (MV + EE Medicine Show). He also collaborated with Finnish liberated folk/ sonic tapestry group Kemialliset Ystävät on the 2004 Eclipse/Time-Lag compilation "By The Fruits You Shall Know the Roots."

7. Joshua is a band defining their own music "street pop". The leader of the band, Greg Avau, is a young Brussels artist with diverse talents. In 2001 he started working with Joshua, and in 2004 the MC and hiphop singer Senso joined Joshua. In 2005 their first album “L’Homme À La Tête De Chien” was very successful. Their latest album “Music & Chocolates” is situated between electro and hiphop style.

8. 'Willie And The Hand Jive' is an excellent hard boogie rock album from this group, whose identities remain unknown. The only clues come from the back cover (see photos) that states the vocalist is Dick Dodd from the Standells and the producer is Ed Cobb (also Standells producer and Chocolate Watchband). Quality hard rock with a southern rock influence (although this was a Californian project), a statement which is underpinned by their song choices as well. The record contains covers of rock standards such as 'Willie and the handjive', 'Harlem Shuffle' where they give a superb version, 'I Just Want To Make Love To You' which is played with a Lynyrd Skynyrd style or ZZ Top's 'I thank you'. This is a great release and remains still obscure.

I had the pleasure of buying a sailboat from his grandson many years ago. My wife and I outfitted and customized her to the max, (a real one of a kind just for us, like no other boat on earth) as we sailed and enjoyed her for 6 years. At almost 70, those will surely always be among my fondest memories. Enjoy your youth and make great memories to last a lifetime!

Also one of the first books I ever read. Now some 60 years later I believe that anyone with an interest in the sea should know this book, Slocum and his "Spray". A number one classic!

I read it this book for the first time in 2012 , some one gave to me this a beautiful book than I started by myself sailing alone around the world. Great book and absolutely impaired me too . Greetings from the garden island of Kauai. Next my voyage to Indian Ocean

Thanks, enjoyed it. Read the story in 72 when we left the condo and boarded a 33ft Morgan. Best years of my life. Left jr.high to take a cruise to Costa Rica with norm who couldn't swim. Never mind it goes. On . Glad it happened!!

I feel emotional in a few ways great narrative I shall buy his book and read it on my little sail boat. My first boat was destroyed by fire in a boat yard I had No insurance at time, at the same time I lost my business and my marriage of 17 years and five children , years later the manager of the yard virtually gave me another boat, a little neglected 19ft sail boat , when first see her I nearly cried ! Her name is
( Second Chance ) my life has been getting better

I should have added about a year after splitting up I got all the kids back all five! I had blood in my veins again. And so began the life of a single parent. But that was about 7 years ago , I also have wonderful woman in my life now who loves sailing Second Chance with me . One day we hope to sail away together once our kids are older . So you see I really have been given a Second Chance. I hope everyone one here gets a 2nd chance if they need one .

I sailed around the world in my Cal28 many years ago. I don't remember the year exactly but it was at least 30 years in the past. I sailed out of Marina Del Rey to Hawaii. Then down to Tahiti. Then west to an island or two and a stop at the South of Africa. Then from up Atlantic to a place of two in Africa and South America. Then to New York. Then back down into the Carabean and an island or three. Then across the Canal in the Carabean to the Pacific and back up to Marina Del Rey, with a stop or two along Mexico and Southern California.

He lived in the USA for decades and became an American citizen and in his later years of life sailed the Spray around the world under the "American Flag" so at 00:05 calling him a Canadian Sea Captain is more than a stretch no matter how you do your math. Not the way to start off on the credibility scale for a ? video... That's my 2 cents :-)

He ought to be better known, in the UK at least. A great sailor. The story of the Transvaal wise men telling him he was sailing ON the world because it's flat is a good one!
