The group tends to draw inspiration for their own sound from other Philadelphia musicians. They met one another at a boogie boarding competition that was hosted by rapper Jay-Z in New Jersey, and came together in an online chat room on a pro-longboarding forum.

I'm so glad I found you guys... This album is the best thing I've listened to in years. I've had a baby on my hands so I rarely listen to music, I've not had one of those bands that I just completely fall in love with in so long. It's such a good feeling when it happens. You need more recognition it's insane. If you made more stuff like this I'd be so happy
